The field experiment was conducted in garden of Department of Biology, College of Education for Pure Sciences (Ibn- Al-Haitham), University of Baghdad during the season of growth (2014-2015). The experiment aimed to study the effect of citric acid with two concentration 10, 20 mg. L-1 and glutamic acid with two concentration 50, 100 mg. L-1 on growth and yield of broad bean (Vicia faba). The results were showed an increased in plant height, leaves number. Plant dry weight, chlorophyll content flowers number, absolute growth rate, crop growth rate, legume length and dry weight, legumes number, seed dry weight compared with control plants.

The experiment was conducted at the plant tissue culture laboratory of the Department of Horticulture and Garden Engineering College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, in order to study the effect of some growth regulators on propagation an stimulation production of volatile oil compounds of rosemary plant Rosmarinus officinlis using two vegetative parts (apical and lateral buds). The effect of (Di-Ammonium Phosphate DAP) (P21%), as plant fertilizer on content of the Saliva officinalis. Total flavonoid as an important active constituent was investigated in the present study. Three samples (F1, F2, and F3) of Saliva officinalis were grown in soil treated with DAP (100, 200, and 300) kg/hector respectively. Another two samples were studied: F0 as a plant sample grown in soil untreated with fertilizer and F4 as wild type obtained from market. Present study is carried out to evaluate the effect of alkaloids extract of
Amaranthus gracilis on some biological aspects of the house fly Musca domestica to
find out the best way for their control. The highest mortality percentage on eggs of
the house fly was 83.3% at concentration of 10 mg/ml followed by 44.4% and
31.1% at 7.5 mg/ml and 5 mg/ml respectively. Results also referred that the
mortality rates of eggs, larvae, pupae were increased with increasing concentration.
The pupal weights were decreased with increasing of concentration.
