The Relationship between Family History and C-peptide Level in Type2 Diabetic Patients

Background: Family history of type 2 diabetes is a major risk factor for type 2 diabetes. Type 2 diabetes is characterized by progressive β-cell dysfunction; many investigators have used C peptide levels as a biomarker of β-cell function.

Objective: the current study was design to investigate the impact of family history on biochemical characteristics (c-peptide, HbA1c, lipid profile, insulin secretion, insulin sensitivity and insulin resistance.

Study of Interaction between Vitamin C and Nickel () Ion using a Polarographic Methods

The Polarographic study of the interaction between ascorbic acid and Ni+2 was carried out at dropping mercury electrode [DME] . This study included the determination of the kinetic parameters (kfh ,n) and thermodynamic parameters such as enthalpy change (H), free energy change (G) and entropy change (S) of Ni+2 complexes with ascorbic acid in 0.1 M KCl solution over the temperature rang of (294-309)K. The electrode processes were irreversible and diffusion controlled.

Cystatin-C marker in diabetic and non diabetic patients with ischemic heart disease

Background:recent data indicate the prevalence of cardiovascular disease in patientswith high cystatin-C level;it can be used as a good predictor for assessment of mortality in cardiovascular diseases regardless of the status of renal function.
Patients and methods: Onehundred twenty (120) patients with ischemic heart disease admitted to this study at Baghdad teaching hospital for the period from January 2011 to September2011,Those patients categorized into two groups (60) diabetic and (60) non diabetic in comparison to fifty healthy control.Fasting serum cystatin-C was measured in all patients and controls.
Results: The level of serum cystatin-C, in diabetic patients with ischemic heart disease was (2.05±0.55 μg/L). Its level in

Separation Axioms in Topological Ordered Spaces Via b-open Sets

This paper aims to define and study new separation axioms based on the b-open sets in topological ordered spaces, namely strong - -ordered spaces ( ). These new separation axioms are lying between strong -ordered spaces and - - spaces ( ). The implications of these new separation axioms among themselves and other existing types are studied, giving several examples and counterexamples. Also, several properties of these spaces are investigated; for example, we show that the property of strong - -ordered spaces ( ) is an inherited property under open subspaces.

Prepared Electrical Resistivity Been Pure B TiO a 3 Impurity

3 BaTiO was prepared by mixing the components of 3 BaCO and 2 TiO by ratio [1:1] ØŒ This paper is devoted to study the effect of radition on the electrical properties of 3 BaTiO . Some of prepared samples were exposed to fast neutrons   SMeV and   MeV14 . In addition ØŒ Some samples were exposed to gamma – ray with dosage   Rad81.5 10 ï‚´ . The results showed that the exposition of some samples to fast neutrons    SMeV and   MeV14 lead to increase the electrical resistivity with the study of the effect of the addition of impurity on electrical resistivity . The addition of two compounds   2 3Yb O and   2 3Sm

B-splines Algorithms for Solving Fredholm Linear Integro-Differential Equations

Algorithms using the second order of B -splines [B (x)] and the third order of B -splines [B,3(x)] are derived to solve 1' , 2nd and 3rd linear Fredholm integro-differential equations (F1DEs). These new procedures have all the useful properties of B -spline function and can be used comparatively greater computational ease and efficiency. The results of these algorithms are compared with the cubic spline function. Two numerical examples are given for conciliated the results of this method.
