Abstract:
Al-Marba'aniyah, which is a long cold wave, was defined by ancient
Iraqis. It represents the coldest days in Iraq. In this research paper, a new
scale was put to define it. It shows that the period between the minimum
temperature degree recoded in December and the minimum temperature
degree recorded in January is considered to be the period of Al-Marba'aniyah.
The research concluded that Al-Marba'aniyah is unsteady and it changes in
the days of its occurrence. It was also concluded that the dates of the
beginning and the end of Al-Marba'aniyah are unsteady, too. Moreover, it was

    This study was conducted to provide a detailed description of the osteology features of Alburnus amirkabiri from the Qareh Chai river, markazi province, Iran. For this purpose, eight specimens of A. amirkabiri were collected from the Qareh Chai River by electrofishing and fixed in 4% buffered formalin after anesthesia. The specimens were cleared and stained for osteological examination and its detailed osteological characterizations and differences with available osteological data of other members of the genus Alburnus were provided.

A number of ehemical ion materials were used as an absorber against solar energy. These materials were selected according to their absorption spectra in the wavelength range 300-800nm where the solar spectrum is coventrated. An experiment was carried out in the vegetables field of Horticulture Department / College of Agriculture / Baghdad University , for the three seasons : spring and Autumn of 2005 , and spring of 2007 , to study the type of gene action in some traits of vegetative , flowery growth , yield and its components in summer squash crosses (4 x 3 = cross 1 , 3 x 7 = cross 2 , 3 x 4 = cross 3 , 3 x 5 = cross 4 , 5 x 1= cross 5 , 5 x 2 = cross 6).
