In Vitro Comparative Assessment of Composite Nanoleakage Using Various Dentine Surface Treatments
...Show More Authors

Background: The treatment of dental tissues proceeding to adhesive procedures is a crucial step in the bonding protocol and decides the clinical success ofrestorations. This study was conducted in vitro, with the aim of evaluating thenanoleakage on the interface between the adhesive system and the dentine treated by five surface modalities using scanning electron microscopy and energydispersiveX-ray spectrometry. Materials and methods: Twenty five extracted premolars teeth were selected in the study. Standardized class V cavities were prepared on the buccal and lingual surfaces then the teeth divided into five main groups of (5 teeth in each group n=10) according to the type of dentine surface treatment that was used: Group (A): dentine was conditioning with Er, Cr: YSGG laser. Group (B): dentine was conditioning with (Er, Cr: YSGG laser + acid). Group (C): dentine was conditioning with (acid + Er, Cr: YSGG laser). Group (D): dentine was conditioning with acid etch. Group (E): dentine was conditioning with acid + 10% sodium hypochlorite. For All the teeth SBMP adhesive were used and restored with Z250 composite restoration then all specimens were subjected to thermocycling 500 cycles, at 5° to 55 °C. The teeth were soaked in silver nitrate suspension. Then the teeth sectioned bucco-lingually across the centre of the restorations. The specimens were characterized using scanning electron microscopy and the amount of nanoleakage was measured by EDX spectro-analysis to identify the existence of metallic silver particles. Results: Data were analysed statistically by one way ANOVA test and (LSD) Tests. The results showed that there were statistically highly significant differences among all groups of the present study. The resultshowed that the acid and laser (group III) exhibited the lowest mean value of nanoleakage at around (6.14 %), whereas the highest mean value of nanoleakage (12.83 %) was determined by the only acid (group IV). Conclusions: Treating the acid etched dentine with Er: Cr: YSGG laser showed promising results as it exhibits lowest amount of nanoleakage of the adhesive bonding system.

FREE VIBRATION ANALYSIS OF NOTCHED COMPOSITE LAMINATED CANTILEVER BEAMS
...Show More Authors

The present work divided into two parts, first the experimental side which included the
measuring of the first natural frequency for the notched and unnotched cantilever composite beams
which consisted of four symmetrical layers and made of Kevlar- epoxy reinforced. A numerical
study covers the effect of notches on the natural frequencies of the same specimen used in the
experimental part. The mathematical model for the beam contains two open edges on the upper
surface. The effect of the location of cracks relative to the restricted end, depth of cracks, volume
fraction of fibers and orientation of the fiber on the natural frequencies are explored. The results
were calculated using the known engineering program (ANSY

Idealism and Realism in The Design: A Comparative Study
...Show More Authors

At the beginning of the twentieth century distorting handling totalitarian phenomena of art, which can be called the stage of the test, transition from the theory of ideal theory and other realistic is not cushy, since it requires vision and reading and other concepts, and in light of this dialectic manifested research problem by asking the following Is affected by the design idealism and realism. Through the above mentioned questions, the researcher found rationale for addressing this problem, the study through his research, which is marked (idealism and realism in a comparative study design). And demonstrated the importance of research in the identification of the concept and the effectiveness of the two theories idealism and realism a

Populism in the Middle East: Discourse and Comparative Characteristics
...Show More Authors

Abstract: The premise of the study is that populism is a process of building political views and critical intellectual orientations among the general public. It is transformed into mass beliefs by mobilizing the society ideologically and continuously in order to reach or control the circle of authority. We distributed the study topics to four sections: In the second, we will discuss the contents of contemporary populism and how other forms of populism evolved historically. The third is to discuss the political discourse of populism among the military regimes and the comparative Islamic parties in the Middle East, especially in terms of the essence and the intellectual foundations. The fourth section seeks to examine the characteristics o

Assessment of vegetal cover changes using Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) and subtractive (NDVI) time-series, Karbala province, Iraq
...Show More Authors

Karbala province regarded one part significant zones in Iraq and considered an economic resource of vegetation such as trees of fruits, sieve and other vegetation. This research aimed to utilize Normalized Difference Vegetation index (NDVI) and Subtracted (NDVI) for investigating the current vegetation cover at last four decay. The Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) is the most extensively used satellite index of vegetation health and density. The primary goals of this research are gather a gathering of studied area (Karbala province) satellite images in sequence time for a similar region, these image captured by Landsat (TM 1985, TM 1995, ETM+ 2005 and Landsat 8 OLI (Operational Land Imager) 2015. Objective: To enhance bonding strength between thermoplastic denture base and acrylic soft liner through ethyl acetate surface treatment. Materials and Methods: Modifications of thermoplastic acrylic denture base surface were investigated with SEM. FTIR was used to detect whether there was a chemical bond between thermoplastic acrylic and the organic solvent. A total of 80 samples were prepared and divided into 20 samples for the surface roughness test and 60 samples for the shear bond strength test. Failure type was assessed visually. Results: Shear bond strength and surface roughness values of un treated samples were lower in comparison to surface treated groups; the greatest post thermocycling bond strength value was recorded for the sam

Corrosion risk assessment of the oil flow line in Southern Iraq

The risk assessment for three pipelines belonging to the Basra Oil Company (X1, X2, X3), to develop an appropriate risk mitigation plan for each pipeline to address all high risks. Corrosion risks were assessed using a 5 * 5 matrix. Now, the risk assessment for X1 showed that the POF for internal corrosion is 5, which means that its risk is high due to salinity and the presence of CO, H2S and POF for external corrosion is 1 less than the corrosion, while for Flowline X2 the probability of internal corrosion is 4 and external is 4 because there is no Cathodic protection applied due to CO2, H2S and Flowline X3 have 8 leaks due to internal corrosion so the hazard rating was very high 5 and could be due to salinity, CO2, fluid flow rate
