The research aims to conduct a comparative study between the events (800) m and (1500) m track in the types of muscular strength and to identify the differences between them among Iraqi sports club players. The sample represented the players participating in the Iraqi Athletics Championship for the period between (02/11/2023) and (04 /11/2023), and their number was (16) players (8) for each event, as the selection was made intentionally. The researchers used the descriptive approach to achieve the goal of the research and used the statistical package (SPSS) to process the data statistically. According to the results collected, it was found that there was superiority among the intermediate track players (800) m in explosive power and the speed characteristic of the leg muscles, and there was a superiority among the intermediate track players (1500) m in force endurance of the leg muscles. The researchers recommended focusing on developing these important qualities and conducting more research on other participants, subjects, levels and other events.
Plants and their extracts preparations have been used as medicines against infectious diseases. In present work, Cassia senna (leaves), Piper nigrum (fruits) were extracted with different organic solvents to investigate their antifungal activities in vitro. Background Molluscum contagiosum is skin disease caused by the molluscum contagiosum virus (MCV) usually causing one or more small dome shaped umbilicated papules with symptoms that maybe self-resolve. MCV was once a disease primarily of children, but it has evolved to become a sexually transmitted disease in adults. It is believed to be a member of the pox virus family. In addition to the classic presentation of the disease; it can also come in different clinical forms that simulate large number of dermatolological disease.
Objective: To study different clinical forms of Molluscum contagiosum presentation in different age groups of Iraqi patients.
Method:This clinical descriptive study was performed in the outpatient department of
Scattering and Absorption Efficiencies of Si-Ag Coaxial nanowire (NWs) were simulated using Mie-Lorentz scattering approach. The thickness of Ag shell was fixed at around 10 nm with Si core diameter of (10, 20, 30 and 40) nm. Scattering Efficiencies and Absorption Efficiencies of core-shell nanowire as a function of wavelength (300-2000 nm) within various core diameters were calculated. The study shows a remarkable behavior of scattering for un-polarized light in Silicon nanowire (core only) with wavelength of (320- 500nm). In other words, adding Ag shell has decreased the scattering efficiency of core-shell nanowire for all diameters.
