  The present study is a contribution to determine the effect of bark water extracts of the common trees of Eucalyptus camaldulensis to control the snail intermediate host (Bulinus truncatus) of urinary Schistosomiasis in Iraq. It was found that the lethal concentrations of bark phytochemicals to this snail were ranging from 10gm/l to 50gm/l.The effect of bark extracts was very remarkable during the first 24 hours.

Nicotiana tobaccum L (Solanacea) extracts are used as a mollusciede to the snail Bulinus truncatus the intermediate host of urinary Schistosomiasis. LC50 of the extracts to the snail with 24 hour was 3.27 ml/l? 48 hour was 3.33 ml/l? 72 hour was 2.67 ml/l and 96 hour was 2.28ml/l. This study showed the ability to use the leaf extracts in the control of this type of snail.

This study experimentally assessed the treatment of Leishmania parasites (L. donovani and L. tropica) by gold nanoparticles. Specifically, atmospheric pressure nonthermal plasma was generated using different diameters (1.0, 2.8, 3.8 and 4.3 mm) of high voltage electrode. Aqueous gold tetrachloride salts (HAuCl4·4H2O) were used as precursor to produce gold nanoparticles. UV-vis spectroscopy and x-ray diffraction were conducted for characterization of the nanoparticles. In this study the melting point and hardness of the paraffin wax was improved by mixing it with 1:1 ratio of micro crystalline wax then adding weight percentage wt% of locally produced nano particles (CuO,ZnO,AI2O3 and bentonite ) for each addition to the wax mixture. The results showed an increase in the melting point and hardness values of the prepared samples by increasing the weight percentage of each nano particles additives. . It was found that the addition of nano bentonite to the wax mixture gave high melting point values (122.5°C)and hardness (81.2)followed by melting point value (97°C)and hardness(68.2)resulting from the addition of CuO nano particles to the wax mixture compared to other used nano particles.
