Photobiomodulation Effect of 850 nm Near-infrared Diode Laser on the Release of M1-related Cytokines Inmonocytic THP-1 Cells

Photobiomodulation (PBM) is a form of the use of visible red and Near-infrared (NIR) light at low power, where a laser light photon is absorbed at the electronic level, without heat production. PBM can be applied in wide range of treatment to help the wound, inflammation, edema, and pain reduction. However, there is a lack of scientific documentation regarding its actual effects. Objectives: This study assesses the impact of PBM on the release of M1-related cytokine in monocyte cells with particular emphasis on interleukin-1β (IL-1β) and Tumour Necrosis Factor α (TNF-α). Methods: Tamm-Horsfall Protein 1 (THP-1) macrophages M1 cells have been exposed to the light from the diode laser of 850nmat different doses (0, 0.6, 1.2 and 3.6 J/cm2). The release of cytokines was determined by enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay, after different periods of incubation (0, 12, 24, and 48 hours) post-irradiation. The proliferation of fibroblast cells suspended in irradiated M1-supernatent was evaluated for the same periods of incubation. Results: The results showed that PBM significantly enhanced M1-related cytokine release (p < 0.05). Obviously, IL-1β increased post-irradiation at 1.2 J/cm2 more than other doses for all incubation periods. TNF-α was decreased significantly after two days of irradiation (p < 0.005) for all doses. A significant increase in fibroblast proliferation (p < 0.005) was observed concomitant with the boost of cytokine release. Conclusion: This in vitro study has demonstrated that the PBM of the 850 nm diode laser therapy can enhance M1-related cytokine release, which in turn increases the proliferation of fibroblast cells. Moreover, PBM at 850 nm plays an anti-inflammatory role, which manifested by decreasing the level of TNF-α. Therefore, this therapy may be able to accelerate the wound healing process.

Reconstruction plate-related complications in mandibular continuity defects

Purpose The purpose of this study was to evaluate the complications associated with the use of reconstruction plates with or without non-vascularized bone graft in reconstruction of mandibular segmental defects caused by trauma and tumor resection and to analyze various factors that are associated with the development of complications. Methods A retrospective observational study was conducted, and the investigated variables included the age and gender of the patients, etiology of the defect, the site of the defect, the size of the defect, whether bone graft was used or not, type of plate used, and whether the reconstruction was immediate or delayed. The outcome variables were the postoperative complications and the success rate. Results Fif

Approximaitly Semi-Prime Submodules and Some Related Concepts

We introduce in this paper the concept of approximaitly semi-prime submodules of unitary left -module  over a commutative ring  with identity as a generalization of a prime submodules and semi-prime submodules, also generalization of quasi-prime submodules and approximaitly prime submodules. Various basic properties of an approximaitly semi-prime submodules are discussed, where a proper submodule  of an -module  is called an approximaitly semi-prime submodule of  , if whenever , where ,  and , implies that . Furthermore the behaviors of approximaitly semi-prime submodule in some classes of modules are studied. On the other hand several characterizations of this concept are

Weakly Approximaitly Quasi-Prime Submodules And Related Concepts

Let R be  commutative Ring , and let T be  unitary left .In this paper ,WAPP-quasi prime submodules are introduced as  new generalization of Weakly quasi prime submodules , where  proper submodule C of an R-module T is called WAPP –quasi prime submodule of T, if whenever 0≠rstϵC, for r, s ϵR , t ϵT, implies that either  r tϵ C +soc   or  s tϵC +soc  .Many examples of characterizations and basic properties are given . Furthermore several characterizations of WAPP-quasi prime submodules in the class of multiplication modules are established.

Fully Fuzzy Visible Modules With Other Related Concepts

In previous our research, the concepts of visible submodules and fully visible modules were introduced, and then these two concepts were fuzzified to fuzzy visible submodules and fully fuzzy. The main goal of this paper is to study the relationships between fully fuzzy visible modules and some types of fuzzy modules such as semiprime, prime, quasi, divisible, F-regular, quasi injective, and duo fuzzy modules, where under certain conditions it has been proven that each fully fuzzy visible module is fuzzy duo. In addition, there are many various properties and important results obtained through this research, which have been illustrated. Also, fuzzy Artinian modules and fuzzy fully stable modules have been introduced, and we study the rel

Heretic rulings And related words in Islamic jurisprudence

How I was eager to research the ruling on three of the most dangerous types to Islam and Muslims (the heretic, the sorcerer, the innovator, and related terms).
Because it is the most dangerous deadly disease that destroys the hearts of Muslims, and may even expel a Muslim from the circle of Islam, and how many Muslims have done or committed such a thing without knowing it. Indeed, how many Muslims have left Islam and whose wife has abandoned him without realizing it, and among them are those who have committed it without knowing it. As well as related words associated with heresy.( )
Because people debated such matters between extremists and lenient ones, most of whom were extremists, and they did not reach a conclusion. So I decid

Histological Study of the Digestive Tract of Liza abu (Heckel) 1-Esophagus

The study includes histological structure of  digestive tract of  Liza abu , Anatomical results found that the digestive tract occupied the largest part of  abdominal cavity ,  the mean gut length was (45.5) cm and relative gut length was (2.9) .  esophagus was a muscular tube length (1.5) cm , esophagus wall containing longitudinal  straight unbranched folds numbering (9) . Histological study  results found that the esophagus composed of four tunica : mucosa , submucosa , muscularis and serosa . The results found that the mucosa consists of three layers : epithelium , lamina propria and muscularis mucosa . The epithelial layer was stratified squamous epithelium thickness (139.1) µ containing

Study the effect of position on the time of astronomical twilight

Twilight is that light appear on the horizon before sunrise and after sunset, Astronomically it is known that sunrise and sunset are effected by high above sea level, but the effect of high above sea level on the time of astronomical twilight still not decided and controversy among astronomers, in This research we studies the effect of high above sea level on the time of astronomical twilight, through adding the equation correct high above sea level to equation computation of twilight and then calculate of changing in the time of twilight for different highest (0-10000) meters above sea level , and the ratio of increase for time with high between (15.45-20.5) minutes. It was found that there was an increase in the time of the twilight along

The Effect of Hydraulic Accumulator on the Performance of Hydraulic System

The purpose of this paper is to depict the effect of adding a hydraulic accumulator to a hydraulic system. The experimental work includes using measuring devices with interface to measure the pressure and the vibration of the system directly by computer so as to show the effect of accumulator graphically for real conditions, also the effects of hydraulic accumulator for different applications
have been tested. A simulation analysis of the hydraulic control system using MATLAB.R2010b to study was made to study the stability of the system depending on the transfer function, to estimate the effect of adding the accumulator on stability of the system. A physical simulation test was made for the hydraulic system using MATLAB to show the ef
