This study has been carried out to evaluate the expression level of beta 2 microglobulin gene on patients infected by hepatitis C virus before and after treatment with interferon. The study included 117 hepatitis C patients comprising as 63 pre-treated patients, the range of age was between 20-65 year with a mean age of 48.12 ± 16.1 and 54 post-treated patients with age range was between 23-63 year with the mean of 46.1 ± 18.1. Also it was found that more than half of patients were located within third and fourth decade i.e. 30-49 year, with a percentage of 52.4% and 55.6 % for pre-treatment and post-treatment patients respectively. This study was conducted to evaluate the side effects of Tamoxifenon the lipid profile. 40 rats divided into 4 equal groups,3 groups were given different doses (30, 40, 50)mg/kg body weight of TAM three times a week for 8 weeks as well as control group that was given with physiological solution.At the end ofexperiment, The results showed significant differences in the treated groups were the results showed a significant degrees (p<0.05) in the HDL level in the treatment group (50mg/kg) while the three groups showed a significant increase in the levels of (Ch, TG, LDL, VLDL). The results of the study showed that Tamoxifen caused an accumulation in fats.

The pathogenicity of S. saprophyticus was studied in mice. A group of white mice were injected transurethrally using a catheter with S. saprophyticus S67 cell suspension in a concentration reached 109 CFU/ml. concomitantly, the role of its peptidoglycan in the pathogenicity was studied by injecting another group of mice with 0.3 mg/0.2 ml of partially purified S. saprophyticus S67 peptidoglycan extract. After autopsy, kidneys and urinary bladder showed several histopathological changes both in cells and peptidoglycan injected mice, included: hydropic degeneration, glomerulus shrinkage, congestion of renal vessels, infiltration of inflammatory cells, and dekeratinization in urinary bladder.
