The use of brain lab navigator in the management of small deep seated brain tumors.

Background: A comparism study for management of deep seated small brain tumors less than 4 cm in the 3 diameters between cases managed by Brain lab navigator and those without it.
Patients and methods: We took 20 patients from the retrospecture data before the use of Navigator in our country compared with the 20 patients managed after the use of navigator in our hospital (specialized surgical hospital) in the neuro-surgical. Unit since 2002 till now. From 1/8/2002 till 31/12/2007 the study included the type of tumor & surgery & the result of surgery & time & complications ((morbidity & mortality)).
Results: There was a significant increase of the safety of surgery by using the navigator

Formulation and Characterization of Oleogel as a Topical Carrier of Azithromycin

This study aims to formulate azithromycin oleogel to locally treat skin infections such as acne vulgaris and skin wound infection. Providing a form of azithromycin that can be administered topically is highly desired to prevent unwanted systemic complications including diarrhea, nausea, and abdominal pain. Additionally, it will avoid first pass metabolism, improves patient acceptance, provides an alternative in nauseated patients, decreases the dose by direct contact with the pathological site, and provides a noninvasive and convenient mode of administration. Furthermore, for treating wound infections, the gel will act as a scaffold biomaterial for wound closure besides its antibacterial effect. Herein, we propose the use of grapeseed oil-b

Hybrid nanoliposome as a targeted growth inhibitor for Cervical Carcinoma Cell line

Background: targeted cancer nanotherapy represents a golden goal for nanobiotechnology to overcome the severe side effects of conventional chemotherapy. Hybrid nanoliposomes (HLs) composed of L-α-dimyristoylphosphatidylcholine (DMPC) and Polyoxyethylene (23) dodecyl ether (C12 (EO)23 ) can integrate selectively into the cancer cell membrane inducing cancer cell death.
Objectives: to assess the capacity of locally (in hose) synthesized hybrid nanoliposome to inhibit the growth of cervix cancer cells (HeLa) and induce apoptosis.
Patients and Methods: hybrid nanoliposomes(nHLs) synthesized by sonication method from a mixture of 90% mol DMPC and 10% mol C12(EO)23 in tissue culture media RPMI-1640 for 6 hours at 300W and 40ºC then fil

Development of 5-FU Loaded poly lactic-co-glycolic acid Nanoparticles for Treatment of Lung Cancer

Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer (NSCLC) accounts for about 84% of all lung cancer types diagnosed so far. Every year, regardless of gender, the NSCLC targets many communities worldwide. 5-Fluorouracil (5-FU) is a uracil-analog anticancer compound. This drug tends to annihilate multiple tumour cells. But 5-FU's most significant obstacle is that it gets very easily metabolized in the blood, which eventually leads to lower anticancer activity. Therfore a perfect drug delivery system is needed to overcome all the associated challenges.

In this experiment, an attempt was made to prepare 5-FU loaded poly lactic-co-glycolic acid  nanoparticles using solvent evaporation method and subsequently observed the effect of molecular weight of poly l

Formulation and Evaluation of Sustained Release Sumatriptan Mucoadhesive Intranasal in-Situ Gel

Sumatriptan(ST) is a selective agonist at serotonin 5-HTI receptors, as well as 5-HT1B/1D subtypes. It is effective for acute migraine attacks, but has a short half  life (about 2 hours) and low oral bioavailability (15%). The purpose of this study was to develop and optimize nasal mucoadhesive in-situ gel(IG) of ST to enhance nasal residence time for migraine management. Cold method was used to prepare different formulas of  ST nasal IG, using thermosensitive polymers (poloxamer 407  alone or with poloxamer 188) with a mucoadhesive polymer hyaluronic acid (HA) which were examined for gelation temperature and gelation time, pH, drug content, gel strength, spreadability, muc

A Computational Model of the Brain Cortex and Its Synchronization

Obtaining the computational models for the functioning of the brain gives us a chance to understand the brain functionality thoroughly. This would help the development of better treatments for neurological illnesses and disorders. We created a cortical model using Python language using the Brian simulator. The Brian simulator is specialized in simulating the neuronal connections and synaptic interconnections. The dynamic connection model has multiple parameters in order to ensure an accurate simulation (Bowman, 2016). We concentrated on the connection weights and studied their effect on the interactivity and connectivity of the cortical neurons in the same cortical layer and across multiple layers. As synchronization helps us to mea

The Effect of Individuals Asymptomatic (Carrier) on The Dynamical Behavior Of a COVID-19 Virus

In this paper, a novel coronavirus (COVID-19) model is proposed and investigated. In fact, the pandemic spread through a close contact between infected people and other people but sometimes the infected people could show two cases; the first is symptomatic and the other is asymptomatic (carrier) as the source of the risk. The outbreak of Covid-19 virus is described by a mathematical model dividing the population into four classes. The first class represents the susceptible people who are unaware of the disease. The second class refers to the susceptible people who are aware of the epidemic by media coverage. The third class is the carrier individuals (asymptomatic) and the fourth class represents the infected ind

Consequences of Reservations a Maritime Carrier on Statements of Goods into Bill of Lading

The bill of lading as a receipt of goods issued by the carrier states the apparent order and condition of the goods received from the shipper, after the goods have been placed on a ship, therefore it contains a statements as to leading marks, number of packages or pieces, weight or  number of the goods. If the carrier fails to insert reservation, he would be precluded from proving inaccurate of the statements in bill of lading against third party holder, and would bear the burden of proof that he is not liable about damage, and the consignee would not bound the carrier`s responsibility. It`s important for both the shipper and consignee that the first introduced a clear and correct statements as to quantity, condition shipped goods,

The Impact of Dangerous Goods Transportation for Maritime Carrier Responsibility

The study dealt with The impact of dangerous goods Transportation for Maritime carrier responsibility, the study was exposed to the definition of dangerous goods. the study also dealt with the impact of IMDG code on the responsibility of the carrier, and the duties of the parties, as the study spotlights The duty of the carrier to prepare a compatible ship for dangerous goods transport, as well as the duty of the carrier to preserve the goods while highlighting to the difference in this obligation while transporting dangerous goods, and the study also reviewed the duties of the shipper, for example, his duty to inform the carrier with the dangerous nature of the goods and the role of IMDG code in dealing with the danger of these goods. t
