A seismic study was conducted to re-interpret the Qasab and Jawan oil field in northern Iraq, south of the city of Mosul, by reprocessing and interpreting many seismic sections of a number of field surveys that included the field area. Two reflectors are detected, represented by Hartha Formations which were deposited during the Cretaceous age and Euphrates Formation which was deposited during the Tertiary age in order to stabilize the structural image of this field. The study was achieved by reinterpreting seismic sections using the Petrel program, where time, velocity  and depth maps were prepared for the two formations.

  Seven [35%] and five [25%] Serratia marcescens  isolates were obtained out of 20 samples of lettuce and 20 samples of spinach, respectively, taken from different locations in a farm in Baghdad city. Lactobacillus spp. is one of the most important strains used worldwide in different applications that range from medical to industrial uses. Therefore, this study aimed to determine the potential capability of the putative probiotic L. rhamnosus isolated from clinical vaginal specimens to produce exopolysaccharide (EPS). From a total of 100 clinical samples, only 13 (13%) samples were represented as Lactobacillus spp, as characterized by the use of the API 50CHL system. The results revealed that the number of L. rhamnosus isolates constituted 4/13 (30.8%), with a confident percentage of more than 80%. This study investigated the prevalence of oqxA and oqxB genes and their effective roles in the development of multidrug resistant (MDR) phenotype among clinical isolates of Klebsiella pneumoniae. Out of 150 clinical samples, 50 (33%) isolates were recognized as K. pneumoniae according to the morphological and biochemical properties.
