Experimental Study on the Performance of Gradient Pores Density Metal Foam in a Rectangular Channel
...Show More Authors
ABSTRACT<p>Various approaches are employed to enhance the heat transfer coefficient and Nusselt number inside the channels. One of the techniques employed for these enhancements is the utilization of porous media. In the current article, a practical investigation of forced convection heat transfer in a rectangular cross‐section channel (0.05 × 0.1 m2) with 0.25 m length is conducted. A heater with a heat flux range (450–6000 W/m2) is imposed under a copper plate, and the other sides are covered by insulation layers. The air is considered as a working fluid with Re (600–2100). The test section is fully filled with gradient pores per inch (PPI) metal foam by taking three different pores densities PPI (10, 20, and 40 PPI) and studying its effects on the temperature of copper plate, the local heat transfer coefficient, average Nusselt number, pressure drop, friction factor, and the performance factor. Three cases were studied inside the channel: one empty case and two with gradient pore density case A (40–20–10) PPI and case B (10–20–40) PPI. The results showed that inserting the metal foam inside the channel improves h and Nu. Case B appeared the best of this improvement in h and Nu by 12% and 25%, respectively, compared with that in case A. While the friction factor was the same for two cases A and B. So, the performance factor in case B showed an improvement of around 25% and 50% in comparison to case A and the empty case, respectively.</p>

Study of the Effect of Redbelly Tilapia (Coptodon zillii (Gervais, 1848)) (Cichliformes: Cichlidae) on the Sustainability of the Iraqi Aquatic Environment: A Review
...Show More Authors

This research reviews studies that identify the habitats of the redbelly tilapia, Coptodon zillii, in Iraq, the environmental conditions favorable to this species distribution and proliferation, as well as its economic and social significance as a food source. Additonally, the study examines its effects on biodiversity through competition with native fish species for resources, as well as its role as reservoirs of pathogens, its adverse effect on human health due to the tendency to retain oil crude inside the tissues, and its impact on environmental and water quality by increasing water turbidity. Finally, the review exhibits recommendations for strategies to mitigate its detrimental effects on biodiversity as well as environment.

RC5 Performance Enhancement Based on Parallel Computing

This study aims to enhance the RC5 algorithm to improve encryption and decryption speeds in devices with limited power and memory resources. These resource-constrained applications, which range in size from wearables and smart cards to microscopic sensors, frequently function in settings where traditional cryptographic techniques because of their high computational overhead and memory requirements are impracticable. The Enhanced RC5 (ERC5) algorithm integrates the PKCS#7 padding method to effectively adapt to various data sizes. Empirical investigation reveals significant improvements in encryption speed with ERC5, ranging from 50.90% to 64.18% for audio files and 46.97% to 56.84% for image files, depending on file size. The organizational integration forms a necessity according to McKinsey model, especially for service organizations. In the context of various service sector developments, importance adoption of compact mechanisms by these organizations to upgrade their services has increased and senior management must be more aware of environmental, competitive and developmental requirements. It gets more important when it shows in an organization seeking at excellence of making services within its policies and strategies. Subject organizational integration dimensions (strategy, structure, systems, style, staff, shared values, and skills) are effective components in directing behaviors of employees and organization. This motivated both researcher

Abstract

The aim of the research is to clarify the requirements of the qualification of the external auditor in Iraq and the extent of their impact on the quality of the professional performance of the audit process. The research was based on analyzing the results of the questionnaire prepared for the impact of qualifications on the quality of professional performance. The researcher has reached a number of conclusions, the most important of which is that a highly qualified and unethical auditor has a greater negative impact on the quality of professional performance than those with low qualifications. The most important recommendations of the research were the need to pay
