The present work presents design and implementation of an automated two-axis solar tracking system using local materials with minimum cost, light weight and reliable structure. The tracking system consists of two parts, mechanical units (fixed and moving parts) and control units (four LDR sensors and Arduino UNO microcontroller to control two DC servomotors). Adaptive Sliding Mode Controller for Servo Actuator System with Friction

This paper addresses the use of adaptive sliding mode control for the servo actuator system with friction. The adaptive sliding mode control has several advantages over traditional sliding mode control method. Firstly, the magnitude of control effort is reduced to the minimal admissible level defined by the conditions for the sliding mode to exist. Bayesian Adaptive Bridge Regression for Ordinal Models with an Application

In this article, we propose a Bayesian Adaptive bridge regression for ordinal model. We developed a new hierarchical model for ordinal regression in the Bayesian adaptive bridge. We consider a fully Bayesian approach that yields a new algorithm with tractable full conditional posteriors. All of the results in real data and simulation application indicate that our method is effective and performs very good compared to other methods. We can also observe that the estimator parameters in our proposed method, compared with other methods, are very close to the true parameter values.

Response of Local rice cultivar to Zinc and Boron application

Five levels of Zn-EDTA fertilizer and foliar application of boron were used to study the local rice response through studying of some vegetative and reproductive growth characters, by conducting two field experiments at Kanipanka Agricultural Research Station during the summer season of 2004 by using RCBD with three replications. Significant differences were found in studied characters, there were increase in the number of days from seeding to 50% flowering (94.330-96.233) days, from 50% flowering to physiological maturity (37.50-38.28) days, plant height (82.50-91.423) cm and LAI (5.441-7.525). ESO-based repetitive control for rejecting periodic and aperiodic disturbances in piezoelectric actuators

This paper presents the Extended State Observer (ESO) based repetitive control (RC) for piezoelectric actuator (PEA) based nano-positioning systems. The system stability is proved using Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIs), which guarantees the asymptotic stability of the system. The ESObased RC used in this paper has the ability to eliminate periodic disturbances, aperiodic disturbances and model uncertainties.
