In this research, the geotechnical properties of the soil profile in Hilla city within Babylon Governorate in the middle parts of Iraq are described. The geotechnical data at the specific sites were collected from some geotechnical investigation reports performed at some selected locations. This article is devoted to studying the distribution of soil properties (the physical and mechanical) in the horizontal and vertical directions. Moreover, a correlation between different physical and mechanical properties is performed. The correlation is executed using statistical analysis by Microsoft Excel Software (2016). From the regression results, it was found that the nature of the soil is cohesive up to 15 m under the natural ground level, and the soil will change to noncohesive. The new line in the plasticity chart has been drawn parallel to A-line especially for the investigated region, the shear strength parameters depend on the consistency of the soil and the depth, and finally, there is a direct correlation between mechanical and physical parameters. Using these correlations with some available information help to predict the value of shear strength and consolidation parameters.
ABSTRACT Background: The Iraqi hospital witnessed numerous violence incidents against medical staff working in emergency department and range from verbal to physical violence. High frequency of these attacks urged the Iraqi doctors for migration. Aim of study: To identify the prevalence of workplace violence against medical staff and to and study the risk factors related to work place violence. Materials and methods: A descriptive cross sectional study carried out among a sample of 300 medical
THE ACTUAL SOCIETY MODEL
Our society model has been showing signs of exhaustion since the end of the XX century. The recent appearance of the Covid-19 virus is another consequence of humanity's distance from Nature and the environment it inhabits. Also, climate change, environmental deterioration, loss of biodiversity, overexploitation of natural resources, and social inequality are some of the consequences derived from this separation between society and Nature. We must change our operating habits. Inevitably from a society based on the market, hyper consumption, fossil energy and individual enrichment at all costs, we will have to change to another

The land has been classified into ten subclasses according to the characteristics of the land cover and was classified using the Maximum Likelihood classifier. A study of the changing urban reality of the city of Baghdad during that period and the change of vegetation due to environmental factors, human influences and some human phenomena that affected the accuracy of the classification for some areas east of the city of Baghdad is presented. The year 2019 has been highlighted because of its privacy in changing the land cover of th

Objective(s): To determine the prevalence of ADHD among elementary school pupils; identify the association between pupil's level of ADHD and age, etc., and investigate the differences in pupils ADHD based on gender, and grade.
Methodology: A descriptive study was conducted on elementary school pupils. The study started from the period of 16th of September 2019 to the 1st of October 2020. A cluster sample of 800 pupils was selected. The questionnaire was constructed and developed and include two parts: the first part includes the pupil's general information and the second part includes scale of ADHD prevalence.
Results: The results of the present study indicated that 38(4.

The challenge addressed by this study was that the fire brigade department required a consistent and repeatable technique to assess the response capabilities and safeguarding levels offered as the city of Samawah/Iraq grew and changed. Evaluating the locations of the current fire brigade stations in the city of Samawah is the aspect addressed by the research to determine the accuracy and validity of the locations of these stations by the competent authorities and their suitability to the area of the city’s neighborhoods and its residents. The first part is concerned with the determination of radon gas concentration in soil samples, results of measurements indicate that the highest average radon concentration in soil samples was found in (Al-Moalmen) region which was (100.0±7.0 Bq/m3), while the lowest average radon concentration was found in (Al-Askary) region which was (38.5±4.7 Bq/m3), with an average value of (64.23±14.9 Bq/m3) ,the results show that the radon gas concentrations in soil is below the allowed limit from (ICRP) agency which is (

The soil sample was obtained from Karbala city and it is classified as poorly graded sand (SP) according to USCS. The soil samples were improved by cement grout with three percentages weight of water cement ratio (w:c); (0.1w:0.9c, 0.8w:0.2c, and 0.7w:0.3c), while the soil samples were dehydrated for one day
