LC-MS/MS METHOD FOR THE DETERMINATION OF IMATINIB MESYLATE IN BLOOD PLASMA SAMPLES AFTER ADSORPTION BY COPPER TANNIC ACID
...Show More Authors

A novel metal-organic framework (MOF) sorbent based on tannic acid/copper (TA/Cu) was synthesized and characterized for the application of the anticancer drug imatinib (IMA) from biological samples. The TA/Cu MOF was prepared via a facile coordination reaction and thoroughly characterized by SEM, XRD, and FTIR techniques. Critical parameters influencing the extraction efficiency of imatinib mesylate (IMAM), including pH, ionic strength, desorption solvent, and adsorption-desorption time were optimized. With acetonitrile as the desorption solvent, the method demonstrated a broad linear range of 0.55-300 μg L-1 under ideal conditions. Limits of detection and quantification were found to be 0.16 μg L-1 and 0.55 μg L-1, respectively. For plasma samples spiked at clinically relevant concentrations (5, 20, and 50 μg L-1), the sorbent showed good reusability over four cycles and negligible matrix effects. In comparison to previously published methods, the developed dispersive solid phase extraction method based on TA/Cu MOF performed better in terms of simplicity, enrichment factor, and analytical figures. Another objective of this study was to develop a liquid chromatography with tandem mass spectrometry technique that could be commonly and readily used for therapeutic drug monitoring of imatinib following extraction by solid phase extraction (SPE). Therapeutic monitoring applications can reliably quantify IMA in complex biological matrices as a result of the fast dispersive solid phase extraction (DSPE) procedure and environmentally friendly sorbent. The effect of utilization of parsley (Petroselinum crispum) in local Iraqi geese diets on blood biochemistry
...Show More Authors

This experiment was conducted to study the effect of feeding diets containing different levels of parsley on the blood biochemical characteristics of local Iraqi geese. A total of twenty-four local geese, one year old, were used in this experiment during the period from the beginning of October to the end of December. The birds were allocated for Four treatment groups consisted of six geese each. Treatment groups were as follows: Control diet (T1) (free from parsley), T2: Control diet + 80 g / d parsley, T3: Control diet + 160 g / d parsley; T4: Control diet + 240 g / d parsley. At the end of experiment, blood samples were obtained from all geese by venipuncture from brachial vein and blood plasma samples were prepared. Blood biochemical tr

Experimental investigation of dusty plasma characteristics in AC discharge system
...Show More Authors

In the present work, the effect of size of zinc dust particles on
AC argon discharge characteristics are investigated
experimentally. The plasma characteristics are determined by
using optical emission spectroscopy (OES) techniques. The
results illustrated that the electron temperature (Te) in the present
and absent of Zinc dust particle is reduced with increasing of
pressure. The electron temperature decreases with increasing of
Zinc dust size. Excitation temperature Tex is reduces with
increasing of Ar pressure in present and absent of zinc dust
particles. The present of Zinc dust reduce the Tex of Ar in both
Zinc dust size. The electron density increasing in the present and

The effect of Al dust particles on glow discharge regions, discharge
voltage, discharge current, plasma potential, floating potential,
electron density and electron temperature in planar magnetron
sputtering device has been studied experimentally. Four cylindrical
Langmuir probes were employed to measure plasma parameters at
different point on the radial axis of plasma column. The results
shows the present of Al dust causes to increase the discharge voltage
and reduce the discharge current. There are two electron groups in
the present and absent of Al dust particles. The radial profiles of
plasma parameters in the present of dust are non- uniform. The
floating potential of probe becomes more negatively while

Assessment Of The Effect Of 3-Caffeoyl Quinic Acid On Biofilm Formation By Kocuria Kristinae Clinical Isolates From Ear Infections
...Show More Authors

Background: Kocuria kristinae (earlier known as Rothia kristinae) is a relatively new opportunistic pathogen responsible for ear infections. The ability of this organism to form biofilms increases its resistance to therapy and promotes the development of antimicrobial resistance, necessitating new treatment methods. Objective: To assess the effect of 3-caffeoylquinic acid on K. kristinae isolated from patients with ear infections. Methods: Isolation of five clinical strains was done by conventional microbiological procedures. The ability of K. kristinae to form biofilms was determined by the crystal violet method (absorbance at OD₅₇₀) before and after 3-caffeoylquinic acid exposure; statistical data analysis was done using a

Vocational education has great importance to comprehensive national development as it provides intermediate cadres able of operating the factories and laboratories in the farms and fields beside the work in the fields of health, service, administration and commercial. Due to the importance of this type of education in society, it is necessary to do a qualitative reform of vocational education in order to make the educational staffs get the necessary basic expertise to adapt the requirements of the labor market and try to rearrange and organize the workforce through put long-term economic and social policy through certain planning open to the workforce. The workforces structure according to gradual expansion in all the national ec

The integration of decision-making will lead to the robust of its decisions, and then determination optimum inventory level to the required materials to produce and reduce the total cost by the cooperation of purchasing department with inventory department and also with other company,s departments. Two models are suggested to determine Optimum Inventory Level (OIL), the first model (OIL-model 1) assumed that the inventory level for materials quantities equal to the required materials, while the second model (OIL-model 2) assumed that the inventory level for materials quantities more than the required materials for the next period.             &nb
