Abstract Background Deep learning (DL) has attracted increasing attention in orthodontics, with many studies reporting high diagnostic and predictive accuracy. However, despite these promising results, routine clinical adoption remains limited. Objectives This scoping review aimed to explore the main barriers that restrict the translation of DL systems from research environments into everyday orthodontic practice. Methodology The review was conducted in accordance with PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Electronic searches were performed in PubMed, Scopus, Web of Science, and IEEE Xplore for English-language studies published between 2015 and June 2025. Studies reporting quantitative performance of DL-based orthodontic applications were included. Data were extracted using a standardized charting form and synthesized using a barrier-centered thematic approach. Results From 612 records, 26 studies were included. While most demonstrated high internal performance, consistent barriers to clinical implementation were identified. These primarily involved limited dataset diversity, single-center data sourcing, absence of external validation, and methodological heterogeneity. In addition, reliance on controlled research settings and insufficient real-world testing further restricted translation into routine orthodontic practice. Conclusion Although deep learning shows promising technical performance in orthodontics, meaningful clinical integration remains limited. Overcoming current barriers will require stronger validation standards, greater transparency, collaborative multicenter research, and implementation strategies that align with real clinical workflows.
The smart city concept has attracted high research attention in recent years within diverse application domains, such as crime suspect identification, border security, transportation, aerospace, and so on. Specific focus has been on increased automation using data driven approaches, while leveraging remote sensing and real-time streaming of heterogenous data from various resources, including unmanned aerial vehicles, surveillance cameras, and low-earth-orbit satellites. One of the core challenges in exploitation of such high temporal data streams, specifically videos, is the trade-off between the quality of video streaming and limited transmission bandwidth. An optimal compromise is needed between video quality and subsequently, rec

And due to its distinguished strategic location, which made it a center of attraction for large commercial ships, despite all the positive advantages, there are obstacles that stand in the way of completing it in the required manner represented by challenges (internal, regional and international) that fear the completion of the port, which will generate profit

The methodology and post-analysis-based research were conducted at the Technical College of Management / Baghdad through polling the opinions of a random sample that included (80) teachers out of (86) and the number of students (276) representing a random sample from all departments of the college (for the morning study) out of (3500) stud

The education sector, including professors, students, and the overall teaching system, has been particularly affected. Objective: This study seeks to evaluate the benefits, challenges, and strategies related to COVID-19 from the perspectives of college students, particularly those in higher education in Iraq. Method: The online survey questionnaire was distributed via Google Forms and specifically aimed at undergraduate dental students. Results: A total of 348 students participated in the survey. Show MoreWorldwide, enormous amounts of waste cause major environmental issues, including scrap tires and plastic, and large waste, a consequence of the demolition of buildings, including crushed concrete, crushed clay bricks, and crushed thermo-stone. From that point, it’s possible to consider that the recycling processes for these materials and using them in the manufacturing field will reduce the adverse effects on the environment of these wastes and the consumption of natural resources. Sustainable concrete blocks can be considered as one of the products produced by using these materials as partial volume replacement of the coarse, fine aggregate, or cement content, considering their dry density, workability, absorption, co
