This experiment was carried out at a private field in the eastern Radwaniyah Baghdad for the fall season 2020/2021 and spring 2021 to study the effects of adding mineral fertilizers, spraying salicylic acid and amino acids on some growth traits and yield of industrial potato plants. 200 kg N h-1 , 100 kg P2O5 h-1, 100 kg K2O h-1 and F2 consist of 275 kg N h-1, 180 kg P2O5 h-1, 200 K2O h-1 and F3 consist of 350 kg N h-1, 360 kg P2O5 h-1, 300 K2O h-1 and salicylic acid in three concentrations of 0,50 and 100 mg L-1 ( S1, S2, S3) and amino acids in three concentrations of 0, 1.25 and 2.5 ml L-1 ( A1, A2 , A3) It was carried out as a factorial split plot experiment, where the fertilizer levels (F1, F2 and F3) are in the main plot and th

An investigation was conducted for dewaxing of lubricating oil fraction by urea to reduce the pour point. In this study mixture of 45 % methyl ethyl ketone (MEK) and 55 % toluene was used as a solvent. The studied variables are mixing time (10-70 min), solvent to oil volume ratio (0.5:1- 2:1), urea to wax weight ratio (2- 6) and constant mixing speed 1500 rpm. By analysis of the experimental results, the best operating conditions achieved are mixing time 40 min, solvent/oil 2:1 volume ratio, and urea/wax 4:1 weight ratio. At these conditions the pour point of the lubricating oil decreases from 24 ° C to -13 °C.
Fifty isolates of Bacillus sp. were subjected to the first and second screening to detect the ability to produce laccase enzyme and select the highest ones production of laccase on Petri plates containing nutrient agar supplemented with Cu2+.
Syringaldazine was used as an indicator and substrate for the determination of laccase activity. Three isolates, which consumed less time to developed pink color were tested for the production of laccase quantitatively. The effective isolate B16 with significant amounts of laccase 1.84 unit /ml was selected for laccase study.
The optimization studies revealed that the maximum laccase production was achieved when the production medium was at the following conditions: 5 days of incubation, tempe
This research had been conducted to investigate response of two Antirrhinum majus L. varieties, tall and dwarf variety to foliar application of Indole 3-acetic acid and Benzyladenin at (0, 60, 120, 180, 240 ppm), through plant height, fresh weight, dry weight of shoot, length of inflorescence (raceme), number of flowering buds per raceme and chlorophyll content in leaves at complete flowering stage.
Results of treatment of the tall variety with IAA and BA showed that IAA had the highest significant increase in plant height, while BA had the highest significant increase in chlorophyll content .Increasing concentrations of both IAA and BA resulted a significant increase in all growth parameters, this was obvious in floweri

Seeds were sterilized and cultuared on full strength Murashige and Skoog medium(1962)(MS). Naphthalene acetic acid (NAA), 6- furfuryl aminopurine (Kin.) growth regulators were used at the Initiation stage. The combination between IAA and Kin. was used in multiplication stage. IAA was used for rooting the shoots. Results showed that 1.5% sodium hypochlorite for 15 min was very effective for disinfecting and survival. Nodes exhibited relatively highest response as compared with apical meristems and leaflets culture. Supplying the culture medium with 1 mg/L.

On day 0 of incubation, 480 eggs (120 for each treatment group) were injected with 0% arginine (C group), 1% arginine (T1), 2% arginine (T2) or 3% arginine (T3). After hatching, 336 quail chicks (84 chicks produced from each in ovo injection treatment) were placed in an experimental quail house and allocated to four treatment groups of three replicates, with 16 quail chicks for each replicate. Traits involved in this study were hatchability rate, initial body weight (7 days of age), final body weight (42 days old), feed intake, weight gain, feed conversion ratio and blood serum glucose, protein, cholesterol, tota

Two finite element programs of Geoslope 2012 software, SIGMA/W and SEEP/W, were used for analysis of in situ stresses, load deformation behavior, seepage quantity and vertical gradient below Teeb weir foundation, to compute factors of safety against seepage uplift. The site soil is a granular (gravel, sand and silt), weakly cemented soil cohered by gypsum and clay materials. The area has low lying topography, with slightly tectonic activities. The model results show that the upstream side stresses are reduced while the pore pressure are in
