Effect of Operating Conditions on Reverse Osmosis (RO) Membrane Performance
...Show More Authors

The aim of this research is to study the effect of high concentrations of salts, pressure and temperature on the performance of the RO membrane with time. Four different (Na2CO3) concentrations (5000, 15000, 25000 and 35000) ppm and various pressures such as (1, 3 and 5) bars at different temperatures of the feed solution (i.e., 25, 35 and 45) ◦C were used in this work. It was found that, as the concentration of salt and feed temperatures increase, the rejection of the salt decrease. While the salt rejection of the membranes increases with increase of transmembrane pressure.

The effect of Sunn bug Eurygaster intgriceps infection of wheat on the Capability of bread making
...Show More Authors

The present study aims to identifying the effect of Eurygaster integriceps infection on the quality features of the local wheat varity IBA 99. The result revealed significant decrease in the percentage of protein of infected wheat at (4, 5)% compared to sound wheat values for the sound wheat were (10.9%) whereas those for the infected wheat were(9.0, 8.4 )% also the result revealed significant increased in the percentage of ash in the infected wheat flour. The result showed significant decrease in the percentage of wet and dry gluten in the infected wheat by sun bug at the rate of (2, 3, 4, 5)% compared to sound wheat value (27, 9% and 25, 23, 22, 22, 20%) for wet gluten and (8.2, 7.8, 7, 7.2, 6%) for dry glutin . The value of sedimentati

Effect of Replacing Partial of Wheat Flour by Lentil Powder on Quality Properties of Laboratory Bread
...Show More Authors

This investigation was carried out to examine the effect of replacing partial of flour by dried Lentils (Lens culinaris) to white flour in different percentages on the chemical, sensory and storage properties of the Laboratory bread. The results revealed that replacing 0% than wheat flour by lentil powder (1) control was high significan than the replacing 25 and 35% than wheat flour by lentil powder ( 4 and 5) in flavor and chewiness . The results of sensory evaluation showed that replacing 4 were high significan different than that of replacing 1 in external layer colour. Other replacing percentages, however, did not show significant differences of in comparison with control . In regards with chemical analysis of Iron and copper, i

Buckling Analysis of Composite Plates under Thermal and Mechanical Loading
...Show More Authors

Buckling analysis of composite laminates for critical thermal (uniform and linear) and mechanical loads is reported here. The objective of this work is to carry out theoretical investigation of buckling analysis of composite plates under thermomechanical loads, and experimental investigation under mechanical loads. The analytical investigation involved certain mathematical preliminaries, a study of equations of orthotropic elasticity for classical laminated plate theory (CLPT), higher order shear deformation plate theory (HSDT) , and numerical analysis (Finite element method), then the equation of motion are derived and solved using Navier method and Levy method for symmetric and anti-symmetric cross-ply and angle-ply laminated plates t

Equivalent between the Criterion and the Three Open Set's Conditions in Disk-Cyclicity
...Show More Authors

A vector in a separable infinite dimensional Hilbert space is called disk-cyclic for bounded operator if the orbit α : 0, α∈;|∝| 1is dense in. The useful tool used to discover codisk-cyclic operation is called the disk-cyclic Criterion. In this paper we will show that some equivalent conditions of the

Improvement of Entrapment and Ocular Permeability of Ganciclovir Nanostructured Lipid Carriers Using Various Conditions of Preparations
...Show More Authors

Ganciclovir (GCV) is a drug included in BCS-Class III, having high solubility and low permeability. It is a synthetic acyclic nucleoside analog of 2′-deoxyguanosine, considered a potent inhibitor of herpes viruses and cytomegalovirus (CMV) infection. Herpes simplex virus (HSV) infections are very common and are also considered a major cause of corneal blindness. This study intended to advance a pioneering nanostructured lipid carriers (NLCs) system for improving the ocular permeability of GCV. Several procedures were used for the preparation. Cold homogenization, solvent injection, and emulsifi cationultrasonication methods. A mixture of palmitic acid (PA) and oleic acid (OA) as a lipid matrix, cremophore EL, and transcutol HP wer

Laboratory Study on the Susceptibility of Locally Bread Wheat Cultivars to Infestation by Green Bug
...Show More Authors

Five bread wheat cultivars was selected namely, IPA99, Tamouz 2, Rasheed, Abu-ghraib And Iraq, were selected for susceptibility to green bug, Schizaphis graminum R.(Aphididae: Homoptera) infestation. Experiments done in under laboratory temperature 20±2C˚, humidity 65±5 % at 12h light. Results have indicated that IPA99 was highly preferred by in S. graminum and no significant of differences with Rasheed and Abu-ghraib, while Iraq and Tamouz2 came second. Although all wheat cultivars were infested by S. graminum except Iraq cultivar which showed some tolerance when exposed to three densities of 5, 10, ap plant during the time of test was 4 weeks. the development time of nymphs were 8, 8, 9, 9.3and 8.3 days for cultivars IPA99, Tamoz2,

Flexor tend on injury of hand at zone II Early or delayed suture ?
...Show More Authors

Background: The healing of a sutured tendon in the hand usually occur with an unwanted amount of scarring that defeat good results. Many variables has been studied over many decades; timing of repair M’as a matter of debate. Zone II is the area where those variables mostly affect the results of treatment.
Objective: To study and evaluate the results of early or delayed repair under the effects of our local variables.
Method: Prospective study of 85 patients, which had flexor tendon repair at zone II by primary repair, delayed primary repair and tendon graft.
Results: Results showed a primary repair ended with better functional results than those with delayed repair and than those with tendon graft. Excellent & good results

Early complications associated with obesity following coronary artery bypass graft surgery: Obesity and post-CABG morbidity
...Show More Authors

Background: One of the major health concerns and possible risk factors in open heart surgery is the increasing prevalence of obesity among patients.

Methodology: Over a period of sixteen months (February 2017 to June 2018), 246 patients underwent coronary artery bypass graft surgery (CABG) in Slemani Cardiac Hospital (SCH). The patients were divided according to the WHO classification into two groups: The obese (BMI ≥ 30) and the non-obese  (BMI < 30) and were compared in regard to the rate of occurrence of early postoperative complications.

Objective: To evaluate the impact of obesity [body mass i

The Role of Total Quality in Increasing the Productivity of Wheat and Barley Crops and Reducing Costs Using Modern Irrigation Methods in Iraq
...Show More Authors

Most of the world is seeking attention to the agricultural sector, which occupies a distinguished economic center, including Iraq, it is no wonder that the focus is on this sector, especially in developing countries. Descriptive analysis of the sample tables of wheat and barley crops in Iraq showed that adherence to the principles and rules of total quality, including modern irrigation methods (irrigated) has a significant impact in increasing productivity, reducing costs and improving quality compared to traditional irrigation methods, so it became necessary to take agricultural economic units All procedures and means that will help in the application of the rules of total quality to promote the reality of wheat and barley cultivation in I
