Adsorption Studies of Cobalt (II) Complex By Bentonite clay surface
...Show More Authors

This paper is summarized with one of the applications of adsorption behavior; A UV-Vis method has been applied to survey the isotherm of adsorption. Results for experimental showed the applicability of Langmuir equation. The effect of temperature on the adsorption of cobalt (II) Complex by bentonite surface was studied. The results shown that the amount of adsorption was formed to increase, such as the temperature increase (Endothermic process). Cobalt (II) Complex has adsorption studies by bentonite surface at different pH values (1.6-10); these studies displayed an increase in adsorption with increasing pH. ΔG, ΔH, and ΔS thermodynamic functions of the cobalt (II) Complex for their adsorption have been calculated.

Study the Performance of Low Cost Material (Peanut Hulls) for Dye Adsorption Using Inverse Fluidized Bed
...Show More Authors

The present study dealt with the removal of methylene blue from wastewater by using peanut hulls (PNH) as adsorbent. Two modes of operation were used in the present work, batch mode and inverse fluidized bed mode. In batch experiment, the effect of peanut hulls doses 2, 4, 8, 12 and 16 g, with constant initial pH =5.6, concentration 20 mg/L and particle size 2-3.35 mm were studied. The results showed that the percent removal of methylene blue increased with the increase of peanut hulls dose. Batch kinetics experiments showed that equilibrium time was about 3 hours, isotherm models (Langmuir and Freundlich) were used to correlate these results. The results showed that the (Freundlich) model gave the best fitting for adsorption capacity. D

Isotherms and Kinetics Study for Adsorption of Nitrogen from Air using Zeolite Li-LSX to Produce Medical Oxygen
...Show More Authors

This research investigates the adsorption isotherm and adsorption kinetics of nitrogen from air using packed bed of Li-LSX zeolite to get medical oxygen. Experiments were carried out to estimate the produced oxygen purity under different operating conditions: input pressure of 0.5 – 2.5 bar, feed flow rate of air of 2 – 10 L.min-1 and packing height of 9-16 cm. The adsorption isotherm was studied at the best conditions of input pressure of 2.5 bar, the height of packing 16 cm, and flow rate 6 Lmin-1 at ambient temperature, at these conditions   the highest purity of oxygen by this system 73.15 vol % of outlet gas was produced. Langmuir isotherm was the best models representing the experimental data., and the m

A study of Adsorption of Acetone and 2- Butanone on Iraqi Siliceouns Rocks Powder
...Show More Authors

Adsorption of Acetone and 2-Butanone on Iraqi siliceouns rocks powder have been investigated. UV technique has been used to determine the adsorption isotherms. The results showed that the adsorption isotherms obeyed Freundlich adsorption equation. The results showed that the adsorption increases with increasing acidity of solutions. The adsorption was exothermic process, increasing temperature leads to decreasing adsorption. H,  S, G were calculated

Kinetic Study of Adsorption of Malachite Green Dye on Poly Aniline-Formaldehyde/Chitosan Composite
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>Poly aniline-formaldehyde/chitosan composite (PAFC) was prepared by the in situ polymerization method. It was characterized by FTIR spectroscopy in addition to SEM, EDS and TGA techniques. The adsorption kinetics of malachite green dye (MG) on (PAFC) were studied for various initial concentrations (20, 30 and 40) mg/L at three temperatures (308, 313 and 318) K. The influence factors of adsorption; adsorbent dose, contact time, initial concentration and temperature were investigated. The kinetic studies confirmed that adsorption of MG obeyed the pseudo-second-order model and the adsorption can be controlled through external mass transfer followed by intraparticle diffusion mass transfer. Finite element analysis of class II mandibular unilateral distal extension partial dentures
...Show More Authors

The current paper aims to investigate the stress distribution developed in Kennedy Class II mandibular distal extension removable partial dentures due to applying a unilateral load condition in both vertical and lateral oblique directions. 3D models of mandible bone and RPD framework were first built based on actual patient data and later exported to ANSYS software to implement the numerical analysis. For realistic analysis, the model considered the frictional contact between the RPD retainers with the teeth and mucosa with the resin denture base by applying the feature of small sliding. To ensure maximum longevity and suitability of restoration, two different metallic RPDs constructed from commercially pure titanium (CP Ti) and cob

Therapeutic Response of Serum Lipids to Atorvastatin in Type II Diabetic Patients
...Show More Authors

Lipid disorders and cardiovascular disease (CVD) risk are known to be increased in patients with diabetes mellitus. The effects of statins on serum lipid levels are well known; however, previous studies did not compare the effects of statins on serum lipid levels in diabetic patients with non-diabetic patients. To investigate the effects of Atorvastatin on serum lipid profiles in hyperlipidemic patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus in comparison with hyperlipidemic patients without diabetes. This study was conducted on 33 type 2 diabetic patients & 34 non-diabetic patients; their age range was 40-80 years, all of them were hyperlipidemic, who had been administered 10, 20, & 40 mg daily of Atorvastatin and completed a 6-month foll

The Complex Relationship Between Darwinism, Geopolitics and Geographic Colonization Research the Relationship Between Geopolitics and Ethnography

Research on geopolitical and geopolitical studies relates to a range of sciences that can be called auxiliary sciences, such as political science, international relations in particular, and history, but their focus is rarely on science and ethnography

That the issues and problems of the world today has become so large and complex that does not allow a specific field or knowledge to solve one of the need for the newly known knowledge integration (geopolitics and geopolitics) in particular to move towards cognitive integration to understand many of the problems and global issues that faced The importance of this study comes to clarify the relationship between Darwinism, geopolitics and geopolitics. The geopolitics in modern terms d

Biogenesis Synthesis of ZnO NPs: Its adsorption and photocatalytic activity for removal of acid black 210 dye
...Show More Authors

Abstract This study investigated the treatment of textile wastewater contaminated with Acid Black 210 dye (AB210) using zinc oxide nanoparticles (ZnO NPs) through adsorption and photocatalytic techniques. ZnO NPs were synthesized using a green synthesis process involving eucalyptus leaves as reducing and capping agents. The synthesized ZnO NPs were characterized using UV-Vis spectroscopy, SEM, EDAX, XRD, BET, Zeta potential, and FTIR techniques. The BET analysis revealed a specific surface area and total pore volume of 26.318 m2/g. SEM images confirmed the crystalline and spherical nature of the particles, with a particle size of 73.4 nm. A photoreactor was designed to facilitate the photo-degradation process. The study investigated the inf
