This study aims to use claystone beds exposed in the Injana Formation (Late Miocene) at Karbala-Najaf plateau, middle of Iraq for the manufacturing of perforated and ordinary bricks. The claystone samples were assessed as an alternative material of the recent sediments, which are preferred to remain as agricultural land. The claystones are sandy mud composing of 29.1 - 39.1% clay, 37.2 - 54.8% silt and 14.1-26.8% sand. They consist of kaolinite, illite, chlorite, palygorskite, and montmorillonite with a lot of quartz, calcite, dolomite, gypsum and feldspar. The oil exports play a vital role in supporting economic development and raise the economic growth. The oil exports can increase the economic growth via three main channels which are supporting the productive, distributive and service sectors; increasing the investment and capital formation; and increasing the employment rate.

However, the oil exports did not have an important role in increasing the economic growth in Iraq. Therefore, it also did not provide the required support to other economic sectors, neither participated in increase the employees’ skills nor increase the investment rate.   This study included prepared samples of epoxy reinforced by the novolac , aluminum , glass powder and epoxy reinforced by aluminum , glass powder and epoxy alone .They are used as reinforced materials of volum fraction amounting 40% .  The mechanical properties inclouded ( tensile , compressive and wear) where the wear test inclouded different applied loads (5,10,15) . From the results showed the epoxy reinforced by aluminum and glass powder has higher compressive strength (56.91) Mpa and higher tensile strength (132.2) Mpa .But the epoxy alone has higher wear rate and the epoxy reinforced by aluminum and glass powder which have higher elasticity of modulus from the tensile test (315.7) Mpa

this study aimed to study the effect of Cordia myxa extract on the growth and activities of the following types of bacteria : Escherichia coli , Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Proteus Spp., Klebsiella pneumoniae , Staphylococcus aureus, Streptococcus pyogenes , Bacillus subtilus, and the yeast Candida albicans .the results showed an inhibitory effect of the methanol extract on both the growth and activity of the tested microbes .this was reflected by the minimum inhibitory concentration ( MIC ) of different type of bacteria and the yeast.
