Biosorption is an effective method to remove toxic metals from wastewaters. In this
study biosorption of lead and chromium ions from solution was studied using
Citrobacter freundii and Citrobacter kosari isolated from industrial wastewater. The
experimental results showed that optimum grwoth temperature for both bacteria is 30oC
and the optimum pH is 7 &6 for C. freundii and C. kosari respectively. While the
optimum incubation period to remove Pb and Cr for C. freundii and C. kosari is 4 days
and 3days respectively. Also the biosorption of Pb and Cr in mixed culture of bacteria
and mixed culture of Pb and Cr was investigated. Result indicate that uptake of Cr and

A new, simple, accurate, fast and sensitive spectrophotometric method has been developed for the analysis of amiloride in pure and pharmaceutical formulations by continuous flow injection analysis. The method was based on the oxidation of the drug with Ce(IV)sulfate in acidic medium to formed a pinkish-red color species which determined using homemade Ayah 3SBGR x3-3D solar cell flow injection photometer. Optimum conditions were obtained using a high intensity green light emitted diode as a source. The linear dynamic range for the instrument response versus amiloride concentration was 0.0005- 10 mmol.L-1 while the L.O.D was of 9.471 ng / sample. An active, accurate, and simple dual-axis tracking system was designed by using an Arduino Uno microprocessor. The system consisted of two sections: software and apparatus (hardware). This study expands the state of the art in studies that assess torsional retrofit of reinforced concrete (RC) multi-cell box girders with carbon fiber reinforced polymer (CFRP) strips. The torsional behavior of non-damaged and pre-damaged RC multi-cell box girder specimens externally retrofitted by CFRP strips was investigated through a series of laboratory experiments. It was found that retrofitting the pre-damaged specimens with CFRP strips increased the ultimate torsional capacity by more than 50% as compared to the un-damaged specimens subjected to equivalent retrofitting.
