Fractional Brownian motion inference of multivariate stochastic differential equations
...Show More Authors

Recently, the financial mathematics has been emerged to interpret and predict the underlying mechanism that generates an incident of concern. A system of differential equations can reveal a dynamical development of financial mechanism across time. Multivariate wiener process represents the stochastic term in a system of stochastic differential equations (SDE). The standard wiener process follows a Markov chain, and hence it is a martingale (kind of Markov chain), which is a good integrator. Though, the fractional Wiener process does not follow a Markov chain, hence it is not a good integrator. This problem will produce an Arbitrage (non-equilibrium in the market) in the predicted series. It is undesired property that leads to erroneous conclusion, as it is not possible to build a mathematical model, which represents the financial phenomenon. If there is Arbitrage (unbalance) in the market, this can be solved by Wick-Ito-Skorohod stochastic integral (renormalized integral). This paper considers the estimation of a system of fractional stochastic differential equations (FSDE) using maximum likelihood method, although it is time consuming. However, it provides estimates with desirable characteristic with the most important consistency. Langevin method can be used to find the mathematical form of the functions of stochastic differential equations. This includes drift and diffusion by estimating conditional mean and variance from the data and finding the suitable function achieves the least error, and then estimating the parameters of the model by numerical optimal solution search method. Data used in this paper consist of three banking sector stock prices including Baghdad Bank (BBOB), the Commercial Bank (BCOI), and the National Bank (BNOI). © 2020 International University of Sarajevo.

Determination of third order susceptibility of carbon quantum dots at different concentrations
...Show More Authors

The nonlinear refractive (NLR) index and third order susceptibility (X3) of carbon quantum dots (CQDs) have been studied using two laser wavelengths (473 and 532 nm). The z-scan technique was used to examine the nonlinearity. Results showed that all concentrations have negative NLR indices in the order of 10−10 cm2/W at two laser wavelengths. Moreover, the nonlinearity of CQDs was improved by increasing the concentration of CQDs. The highest value of third order susceptibility was found to be 3.32*10−8 (esu) for CQDs with a concentration of 70 mA at 473 nm wavelength.

CORRELATIONS BETWEEN PHYSICAL AND MECHANICAL PROPERTIES OF AL-AMMARAH SOIL IN MESSAN GOVERNORATE
...Show More Authors

This paper describes the geotechnical properties of Al-Ammarah soil of Ammarah city in Messan Governorate-southern parts of Iraq. Data and other information taken from numbers of geotechnical reports that performed under the supervision of Consulting Engineering Bureau of Baghdad University. This research is devoted to study the correlation between different physical properties such as (LL, PI, LI, n,t, e) with different mechanical properties such as (qu, cc, cs, SPT). The correlation is verified using simple regression analysis. From the regression results it was found that there is direct correlation between different parameters. By using the correlation-with some information- preliminary investigation stages and studies of any s

Structural Analysis of Chemical and Green Synthesis of CuO Nanoparticles and their Effect on Biofilm Formation
...Show More Authors

Copper oxide nanoparticles (CuO NPs) were synthesized by two methods. The first was chemical method by using copper nitrate Cu (NO3)2 and NaOH, while the second was green method by using Eucalyptus camaldulensis leaves extract and Cu (NO3)2. These methods easily give a large scale production of CuO nanoparticles. X-ray diffraction pattern (XRD) reveals single phase monoclinic structure. The average crystalline size of CuO NPs was measured and used by Scherrer equation which found 44.06nm from chemical method, while the average crystalline size was found from green method was 27.2nm. The morphology analysis using atomic force microscopy showed that the grain size for CuO NPs was synthesized by chemical and green methods were 77.70 and 89.24

Hematopoietic toxicity of Loranthus europaeus: In-vivo study
...Show More Authors

Iraqi species of mistletoe (Loranthus europaeus) have been used in the present study to evaluate genotoxicy of aqueous fraction in two doses (200mg/kg and 400mg/kg) on bone marrow cells in mice for seven successive days, comparing their effects with a (methotrexate). 200mg/kg of extract of L.europeaus significantly decrease mitotic index (P<0.05), while 400mg/kg none significantly increase this parameter compared to control group. For chromosomal aberration, the aqueous fraction of L.europeaus (in both doses) produced significant increase at dose of 200mg/kg and none significantly increase at a dose 400mg/kg in this marker compared to control (P<0.05) Meanwhile, 20mg/kg methotrexate significantly increases chromosomal aberration compared to

A noval SVR estimation of figarch modal and forecasting for white oil data in Iraq
...Show More Authors

The purpose of this paper is to model and forecast the white oil during the period (2012-2019) using volatility GARCH-class. After showing that squared returns of white oil have a significant long memory in the volatility, the return series based on fractional GARCH models are estimated and forecasted for the mean and volatility by quasi maximum likelihood QML as a traditional method. While the competition includes machine learning approaches using Support Vector Regression (SVR). Results showed that the best appropriate model among many other models to forecast the volatility, depending on the lowest value of Akaike information criterion and Schwartz information criterion, also the parameters must be significant. In addition, the residuals

Abstract Objective (s): To identify the prevalence of obesity and overweight in infants and children less than 2 years of age and its relationship with type of feeding in a sample of children attending Al- Kadhymia primary health care center. Methodology: This study was a descriptive survey carried out in, the primary health care centre of Al-Kadhymia town in Baghdad during the period from 5th of July 2009-1st of May 2010. Sample was chosen by non probability convenience sampling and it included 744 infant and children. Data were gathered by a combination of a structured questionnaire and measurements o
