Purpose: To synthesize and characterize novel Schiff base-chitosan composites and determine their antimicrobial activity. Methods: Novel Schiff-base chitosan composites were synthesized by grafting polyvinylpyrrolidone and then replacing it with different aldehydes. The resulting composites were characterized using advanced analytical techniques, including thermogravimetric analysis (TGA), x-ray diffraction (XRD) studies and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FT-IR). Results: The FT-IR results revealed that the Schiff-base chitosan was successfully produced during mixing and the crystallinity change of the samples was explained by the XRD patterns. Thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) of compounds A1, A3 and A4 showed weight loss of the compounds with the most significant weight loss observed in the fourth and final steps of the reaction. Analysis of the surface morphology of compounds A3, A5, and A6 by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), revealed multiple layers of sheets in the dark gray sections, as well as kinked and wrinkled portions. Compounds A2 – A6 exhibited biological activities against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria as well as fungal species. Docking studies indicate that compound A6, with a binding affinity of -3.09, demonstrates antibacterial properties. Conversely, compound A2, with a binding affinity of -9.102, exhibited antifungal activity. Conclusion: The synthesized compounds possess higher antifungal potential due to the presence of benzene ring which enhances the binding affinity for antifungal activity while diminishing their antibacterial activity
A modern, rapid RP-HPLC-UV method was developed and validated in compliance with FDA and EMA guidelines for simultaneous quantification of 15 βlactam antibiotics) Ampicillin, Amoxicillin, cephalexin, cefotaxime, cefoxitin, cefamandole, cephalothin, piperacillin, penicillin, oxacillin, cloxacillin, nafcillin Carbenicillin, Mezlocillin and Dicloxacillin) in pharmaceutical formulations and pure forms. The method employs Column NEUCLEODUR C-18 (4.0 mm x 100 mm, 5µm particle size), at a temperature of thirty degrees Celsius, and the mobile phase was acetonitrile and KH2PO4 using gradient elution with a total separation time of 13 minutes, a flow rate of 1.3 ml/min, at = pH 4.5 for the buffer solution and the λ max was 220 nm. The prepared AlO-AM and AlO-AP were characterized by Fourier-transform infrared, differential scanning calorimetry , thermogravemetric analyzer and particle size distribution. Adsorption equilibrium isotherms, adsorption kinetics and thermodynamic studies of the batch adsorption process were used to examine the fundamental adsorption properties of phenol (P) and p-chlorophenol (PCP). The experimental equilibrium adsorption data were analyzed by three widely used two-parameters Langmuir, Freundlich and DubininRadushkevich isotherms. The maximum P and PCP adsorption capacities based on t

The Copper(I) complex was characterized by X-ray Crystallography and the NMR spectra, whereas it has been confirmed to have momentous cytotoxicity against ovarian, breast cancerous cell lines (Caov-3, MCF-7). The apoptosis-inducing properties of the Cu(I) complex have been investigated through fluorescence microscopy visualization, DNA fragmentation analysis and propidium iodide flow cytometry.
Cadmium has been known to be harmful to human healthy , manily Via contaminated drinking water , food supplies , tobacco and industrial pollutant . The aim of this study was to determine the toxicity of new Cadmium (II) complex ( Bis[ 5- ( P- nitrophenyl ) – ? 4 – Phenyl- 1,2,4- triazole -3- dithiocarbamatohydrazide] cadmium (II) Hydra ( 0.5) and compare it with anticancer drug cyclophosphamide ( CP) in female albino mice . This complex causes to several alterations in Enzymatic activity of Glutamate Pyruvate Transaminase (GPT) and Alkaline Phosphatase (ALP ) in three organs after the treatment of mice with different doses of a new cadmium (II) complex ( 0.09 / 0.25ml , 0.18/ 0.5ml and 0.25mg /0.7 ml /30 gm of mous

In the preparation of ZnO nanostructure, zinc nitrate hexahydrate [Zn(NO3)2·6H2O] was used as a precursor. The structure and morphology of ZnO nanostructure have been characterized by scanning electron microscopy (SEM), atomic force microscopy (AFM), X-ray diffraction (XRD). The synthesized ZnO nanostructures have a hexagonal wurtzite structure. Also using Zeta potential and Particle Size Analyzers and size distribution of the ZnO powder
Enterococci species (spp.) are naturally found in the gastrointestinal tract (GIT), oral cavity of both human and animals causing several infections including bacteremia, meningitis, endocarditis, intra-abdominal infections, wound infections, urinary tract infections (UTI), atherosclerosis and play a critical role in the riskiness or development of periodontitis, particularly in a suitable mouth environment (Comerlato et al., 2020; Mendes et al., 2020; Xiong et al., 2021; H Elaywe, 2007). Recurrent and continues antimicrobial resistance (AMR) of opportunistic microorganisms is one of the serious public health risk, enterococci spp are often intrinsic resistant to antibiotics class routinly used in treatment such as Cephalosporins, Macrolids

These iminium compounds were made by allowing certain isatins to be reacted with the secondary amino acid, proline, at acetic acid and methanol medium and then collected after purification to be identified with total Leukocyte count (TLC) and melting point. The structural characterization was performed by fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), proton nuclear magnetic resonance (1H-NMR), and community health nursing (CHN) analysis.
