The metal complexes of the types, [ML1Cl2], [ML2Cl2], [ML3Cl2] and [ML4Cl2] [M= Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Mn(II), Hg(II), and Fe(II)] were prepared by interaction of ligands, L1, L2, L3 and L4 with metal(II) ions. The ligands and their complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, conductivity measurements and IR, 1H and 13C NMR, UV–Vis spectral studies. The thermal stability of the complexes was also studied by TGA analyses. These studies show that all the complexes have octahedral arrangement around the metal ions. We used CB-Dock, a novel blind docking technique that aims to improve docking precision. With the aid of the cutting-edge docking program Autodock Vina, software online, molecular docking studies were used to evaluate the biological significance of the synthesized ligands and identify the probable and efficient binding mechanisms between the various ligands and the active site of the receptor protein. Affinity binding of both Ligand L3 and L4 to Penicillin binding protein 2x (chain B) with PDB 1PYY were much better than to Penicillin binding protein 2B (chain A) with PDB 1WAE due to the presence of hydrogen and halogen bonds. Therefore, they can be more recommended for drug design study to inhibit bacterial growth due their bioavailability. The biological activities of all compounds were evaluated like in-vitro antioxidant activity or percentage free radical scavenging effect via DPPH method against standard ascorbic acid and in vitro anticancer activity via MTT assay against colon cancer cell lines. Results of the biological activities showed that complex CuL3Cl2 exhibited the highest anti-cancer activity against colon cancer cell line i.e. 70.72±6.3 μg/ml among other copper complexes whereas compound CuL3Cl2 showed best antioxidant activity against ascorbic acid i.e. 75.07±1.96 μg/ml. While the biological activities showed that complex CuL4Cl2 exhibited the highest anti-cancer activity against colon cancer cell line i.e. 42.05±7.4 μg/ml among other copper complexes whereas compound CuL4Cl2 showed best antioxidant activity against ascorbic acid i.e. 65.47±1.37 μg/ml.
Complexes of Co(II),Ni(II),Cu(II)and Zn(II) with mixed ligand of 4- aminoantipyrine (4-AAP) and tributylphosphine (PBu3) were prepared in aqueous ethanol with (1:2:2) (M:L:PBu3). The prepared complexes were characterized using flame atomic absorption, FT.IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic methods as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. In addition biological activity of the two ligands and their complexes against three selected type of bacteria were also examined. The general compositions of the complexes are found to be [M(4-AAP)2(PBu3)2] Cl2 . Where M= Co(II),Ni(II),Cu(II)and Zn(II). Some of the complexes exhibit good bacterial activities. From the obtained data the octahedral structures have suggested for all prepare

Show MoreA novel Schiff base (SB) ligand, abbreviated as HDMPM, resulted from the condensation of 2-amino-4-phenyl-5-methyl thiazole and 4-(diethylamino)salicyaldehyde, and its metal complexes with [Co(II), Cu(II), Ni(II), and Zn(II)] ions in high yield were formed. The physico-chemical techniques such as elemental analysis, molar conductance, IR, 1H and 13C NMR, mass spectroscopy, and electronic absorption studies were utilized to characterize the synthesized compounds. The studied compounds were examined for their possible anticancer activity against a number of human cancerous cell lines, including A549 lung carcinoma, HepG2 liver cancer, HCT116 colorectal cancer, and MCF-7 breast cancer cell lines, with doxorubicin serving as the standard. Besides, the study touches upon the body shape and the Otolith. These fish species have recently been seen frozen in the Iraqi local market. The standard length of fish specimens in this study reach 26.55cm it exceeded the specimens of Pacu fish collected from other studies from other countries, As well the specimens weight was 632gm it exceeded other studies mentioned in this manuscript. A new design of manifold flow injection (FI) coupling with a merging zone technique was studied for sulfamethoxazole determination spectrophotometrically. The semiautomated FI method has many advantages such as being fast, simple, highly accurate, economical with high throughput . The suggested method based on the production of the orange- colored compound of SMZ with (NQS)1,2-Naphthoquinone-4-Sulphonic acid Sodium salt in alkaline media NaOH at λmax 496nm.The linearity range of sulfamethoxazole was 3-100 μg. mL-1, with (LOD) was 0.593 μg. mL-1 and the RSD% is about 1.25 and the recovery is 100.73%.
