The metal complexes of the types, [ML1Cl2], [ML2Cl2], [ML3Cl2] and [ML4Cl2] [M= Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Mn(II), Hg(II), and Fe(II)] were prepared by interaction of ligands, L1, L2, L3 and L4 with metal(II) ions. The ligands and their complexes were characterized by elemental analysis, magnetic susceptibility, conductivity measurements and IR, 1H and 13C NMR, UV–Vis spectral studies. The thermal stability of the complexes was also studied by TGA analyses. These studies show that all the complexes have octahedral arrangement around the metal ions. We used CB-Dock, a novel blind docking technique that aims to improve docking precision. With the aid of the cutting-edge docking program Autodock Vina, software online, molecular docking studies were used to evaluate the biological significance of the synthesized ligands and identify the probable and efficient binding mechanisms between the various ligands and the active site of the receptor protein. Affinity binding of both Ligand L3 and L4 to Penicillin binding protein 2x (chain B) with PDB 1PYY were much better than to Penicillin binding protein 2B (chain A) with PDB 1WAE due to the presence of hydrogen and halogen bonds. Therefore, they can be more recommended for drug design study to inhibit bacterial growth due their bioavailability. The biological activities of all compounds were evaluated like in-vitro antioxidant activity or percentage free radical scavenging effect via DPPH method against standard ascorbic acid and in vitro anticancer activity via MTT assay against colon cancer cell lines. Results of the biological activities showed that complex CuL3Cl2 exhibited the highest anti-cancer activity against colon cancer cell line i.e. 70.72±6.3 μg/ml among other copper complexes whereas compound CuL3Cl2 showed best antioxidant activity against ascorbic acid i.e. 75.07±1.96 μg/ml. While the biological activities showed that complex CuL4Cl2 exhibited the highest anti-cancer activity against colon cancer cell line i.e. 42.05±7.4 μg/ml among other copper complexes whereas compound CuL4Cl2 showed best antioxidant activity against ascorbic acid i.e. 65.47±1.37 μg/ml.
Current research included preparation, characterization of some new chitosan- hydroxy benzaldehyde-Schiff bases with maleic anhydride. The present study aimed to the synthesis and characterization of novel chitosan Schiff base compounds using para- hydroxy benzaldeh and maleic anhydride. The derivative of the schiff-chitosan base, which is associated with different drugs, has been replaced with different amino and hydroxy drugs. The derivative is characterized by different analytical techniques. The results of FT-IR studies clearly indicate construction of the chief amine group in chitosan and the emergence of new bands that correspond to the association of maleic anhydride with the chitosan base. A polymer blend of (epoxy+ polyester) as matrix materials was used. The Hand lay-up technique was used to manufacture the castings. Epoxy and polyester were mixed at different weight ratios involving (50:50, 60:40, 70:30, 80:20, and 90:10) wt. % of (epoxy: polyester) wt. % respectively. Impact tests for optimum sample (OMR), caustic and thermal insulation tests were performed. Nano clay (Kaolinite) with ratios ( 5 and 7.5% ) wt.% , also hybrid reinforcement materials involving (Kaolite 5 & 7.5 % wt.% + 10% volume fraction of rockwool ) were added as reinforcem

Pseudomonas aeruginosa is an opportunistic pathogen responsible for serious infections. At least three different exopolysaccharides, alginate, polysaccharide synthesis locus (Psl), and pellicle exopolysaccharide (Pel) make up the biofilm matrix in P. aeruginosa . The effect of temperature on the biofilm formation and gene expression was examined by microtiter plate and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR). To be able to determine the effect of temperature on biofilm formation and gene expression of P. aeruginosa, 303 clinical and environmental samples were collected. Pseudomonas aeruginosa was isolated from 61 (20.1%) and 48 (15.8%) of the clinical and e

By using governing differential equation and the Rayleigh-Ritz method of minimizing the total potential energy of a thermoelastic structural system of isotropic thermoelastic thin plates, thermal buckling equations were established for rectangular plate with different fixing edge conditions and with different aspect ratio. The strain energy stored in a plate element due to bending, mid-plane thermal force and thermal bending was obtained. Three types of thermal distribution have been considered these are: uniform temperature, linear distribution and non-linear thermal distribution across thickness. It is observed that the buckling strength enhanced considerably by additional clamping of edges. Also, the thermal buckling temperatures and

Metal cutting processes still represent the largest class of manufacturing operations. Turning is the most commonly employed material removal process. This research focuses on analysis of the thermal field of the oblique machining process. Finite element method (FEM) software DEFORM 3D V10.2 was used together with experimental work carried out using infrared image equipment, which include both hardware and software simulations. The thermal experiments are conducted with AA6063-T6, using different tool obliquity, cutting speeds and feed rates. The results show that the temperature relatively decreased when tool obliquity increases at different cutting speeds and feed rates, also it
