Synthesis and Evaluation Biological Activity of Some New Polymers Derived From 3,3’-dimethoxybiphenyl-4,4’-diamine
...Show More Authors

In this study, synthesis of polymer Nanocomposites through the blending of prepared polymers with polyvinyl alcohol (a synthetic polymer) or chitosan (a natural polymer) then mixed with nano oxide silica by many steps. The new compound [I] was obtained via reaction of 3,3’-dimethoxybiphenyl-4,4’-diamine as starting material with malic anhydride in DMF then treatment with ammonium persulfate (NH4 )2 S2 O8 (as the initiator) in order to produce polymer [II]. Also, we prepared new polymers [III-V] by using the same starting material (3,3’-dimethoxybiphenyl-4,4’-diamine) with glutaric acid or adipic acid or isophthalic acid in DMF and pyridine. In this study, new polymer blending [VI-IX] and [X-XIII] were synthesized from a prepared polymer [II-V] mixed with different polymers [polyvinyl alcohol (a synthetic polymer)] or chitosan (a natural polymer), respectively. Then it was mixed with silica nanoparticles to produce newly nanocomposites [XIV-XVIII] and study their effect on two types of bacteria then compare with Amoxilline as antibiotic drug. The anticancer activity human breast cancer cell line (MCF-7) of some prepared polymers were also studied and compare with normal cell line Rat Embryonic Fibroblasts(REF). © This work is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License. Synthesis, Identification and Biological Study of New Pharmaceutical Model Based on Amino Acids with Some of Its Complexes
...Show More Authors

The synthesis of the MBIB ligand by the reaction of the BIB ligand with methionine in 1:1 ratio, and the metal complexes with Ni(II), Cu(II), and Pt(IV) were described. All synthesized compounds were characterized using spectroscopic methods such as FT-IR, 1H NMR, UV-VIS, thermal analysis (TG and DSC), atomic absorption (AAS), elemental microanalysis (C.H.N.S), melting point (m.p.), magnetic susceptibility, molar conductivity measurements, and chloride content. All the complexes were electrolytes, and the suggested geometric shapes for the complexes were octahedral. The magnetic properties of the platinum complex were diamagnetic, while those of the nickel and copper complexes were paramagnetic. All synthes

Some Metal Ions Complexes Derived From Schiff Base Ligand with Anthranillic Acid: Preparation, Spectroscopic and Biological Studies: organic chemistry
...Show More Authors

This search includes the preparation of Schiff base ligand (SB) from condensation primary amine with vanillin. The new ligand was diagnosed by spectroscopic methods as Mass, NMR, CHN and FTIR. Ligand complexes were mixed from new (SB) and Anthranillic acid (A) with five metal (II) chlorides. The preparation and diagnosis were conducted by FTIR, CHN, UV-visible, molar conductivity, atomic absorption and magnetic moment. The octahedral geometrical shape of the complexes was proposed. The ligands and their new complexes were screened with two different types of bacteria.

Synthesis and Spectral Characterization of Some New Aromatic Schiff Bases Derivated from 2,4Dinitrophenylhydrazine
...Show More Authors

Four novel Schiff bases SB1 to SB4 as new aromatic compound not hydrolysed under ordinary conditions were synthesized in this study by condensation reactions between2,4dinitrophenylhydrazine: firstly with 2,4,4`-trihydroxybenzophenone to give SB1, secondly with  4hydroxybenzophenone to give SB2, thirdly with 4-dimethylaminobenzaldhyde to give SB3 and fourthly with 4-aminobenzaldehyde to give SB4. The molecular structures of these aromatic Schiff bases obtained were identified and characterized based on melting points, elemental analysis(CHN), FT-IR and UV-Visible spectra. The electronic absorption spectra of Schiff bases obtained were studied in the solvents of ethanol, DMF, water, chloroform, carbon tetrachloride and cyclohe

Synthesis and Characterization of 1,3,4-Oxadiazoles Derived From 9-Fluorenone
...Show More Authors

In the present work, 9-fluorenone-2-carboxylic acid methyl ester (1) was prepared from 9-fluorenone-2-carboxylic acid and then converted into the acid hydrazide (2). Compound (2), is the key intermediate for the synthesis of several series of new compounds such as substituted 1,3,4-oxadiazole derivatives (3-6) were synthesized from the condensation of different substituted benzoic acids with compound (2) using POCl3 as condensing agent. Treatment of compound (2) with formic acid gave the N-formyl hydrazide (7), which upon refluxing with phosphorous pentoxide in benzene yielded the corresponding 5-(9-fluorenone-2-yl)-1,3,4-oxadiazole (8). Reaction of hydrazide (2) with phenyl isocyanate to give N-phenyl semicarbazide derivative (9), then thi
