Nuclear structure of ^29-34Mg isotopes toward neutron dripline have been investigated using shell model with Skyrme-Hartree–Fock calculations. In particular nuclear densities for proton, neutron, mass and charge densities with their corresponding rms radii, neutron skin thicknesses and inelastic electron scattering form factors are calculated for positive low-lying states. In this work, the nuclear density distributions, size radii and elastic electron scattering form factors are calculated for proton-rich 8B, 17F, 17Ne, 23Al and 27P nuclei using the radial wave functions of Woods-Saxon potential. The parameters of such potential for nuclei under study are generated so as to reproduce the experimentally available size radii and binding energies of the last nucleons on the Fermi surface.

For each wavelength, three structures are designed corresponding to three values of polymer slot widths (40, 50 and 60nm). This paper presents comprehensive analysis and investigation for 1550nm and 1310nm ring optical modulators employing an electro-optic polymer infiltrated silicon-plasmonic hybrid phase shifter. The paper falls into two parts which introduce a theoretical modeling framework and performance assessment of these advanced modulators, respectively. In this part, analytical expressions are derived to characterize the coupling effect in the hybrid phase shifter, transmission function of the modulator, and modulator performance parameters.
