Salicylaldehyde was reacting with 2-amino benzoic acid to produce the Schiff base ligand benzoic acid 2-salicylidene (L). The prepared ligand was identified by Microelemental Analysis, FT.IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic techniques. A new complexes of Co(II),Ni(II),Cu(II) and Zn(II) with Schiff base was prepared in aqueous ethanol with a (1:1) M:L. The prepared complexes were characterized using flame atomic absorption, (C.H.N) Analysis, FT.IR and UV-Vis spectroscopic methods as well as magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. Biological activity of the ligand and complexes against three selected types of bacteria were also examined. Some of the complexes exhibit good bacterial activities. From the obtained data the tetrahedral structure was suggested for all prepared complexes.

Background and Objectives: Urinary tract infections (UTIs), among a wide range of microbial infections, are of a double-edged worry with health-care and economic implications. They are serious diseases that can influence various parts of the urinary tract. The aim of this study was characterization of the enteric bacteria isolated from urine of human UTIs and studying their antimicrobial sensitivity. The Gaussian orthogonal ensemble (GOE) version of the random matrix theory (RMT) has been used to study the level density following up the proton interaction with 44Ca, 48Ti and 56Fe.
A promising analysis method has been implemented based on the available data of the resonance spacing, where widths are associated with Porter Thomas distribution. The calculated level density for the compound nuclei 45Sc,49Vand 57Co shows a parity and spin dependence, where for Sc a discrepancy in level density distinguished from this analysis probably due to the spin misassignment .The present results show an acceptable agreement with the combinatorial method of level density.

The research aimed at studying the inhibitive effect of the hot watery dry and ethanolic ginger(85%) and fragrant oil which are added in concentrates of o.o25, o.o5o and 0.1g / 100g respectively in the growth of bacteria and molds. The results of the initial chemical diagnosis showed containment of ginger roots extract on. Alkaloids, Glycosides, Flavonoids and Suponins.
