The formation of Co(II), Ni(II), Cu(II), Zn(II), and Cd(II)-complexes (C1-C5) respectively was studied with new Schiff base ligand [benzyl(2-hydroxy-1-naphthalidene) hydrazine carbodithioate derived from reaction of 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde and benzyl hydrazine carbodithioate. The suggested structures of the ligand and its complexes have been determined by using C.H.N.S analyzer, thermal analysis, FT-IR, U.V-Visible, 1HNMR, 13CNMR , conductivity measurement , magnetic susceptibility and atomic absorption. According to these studies, the ligand coordinates as a tridentate with metal ions through nitrogen atom of azomethane , oxygen atom of hydroxyl, and sulfur atom of thione
... Show MoreIn this paper, the complexes of Shiff base of Methyl -6-[2-(diphenylmethylene)amino)-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)acetamido]-2,2-dimethyl-5-oxo-1-thia-4-azabicyclo[3.2.0]heptane-3-carboxylate (L) with Cobalt(II), Nickel(II), Cupper(II) and Zinc(II) have been prepared. The compounds have been characterized by different means such as FT-IR, UV-Vis, magnetic moment, elemental microanalyses (C.H.N), atomic absorption, and molar conductance. It is obvious when looking at the spectral study that the overall complexes obtained as monomeric structure as well as the metals center moieties are two-coordinated with octahedral geometry excepting Co complexes that existed as a tetrahedral geometry. In the first step a solution of terephthaldehyde in methanol was reacted under reflux with 1,2-phenylenediamine to give an precursor compound which reacted in the second step with 2,4-dihydroxybenzaldehyde to give the ligand. The complexes were then synthesized by direct reaction of the corresponding metal chloride with the ligand. The ligand and complexes were characterized by spectroscopic methods FT-IR, UV-Vis, 1 HNMR, and atomic absorption, chloride content, HPLC, mole-ratio determination. in addition to conductivity measurement. The data of these measurements suggest a distorted tetrahedral geometry for ZnII, C
... Show MoreThe aim of the work is the synthesis and characterization of the tridentate Schiff base (HL) containing (N and O) as donor atoms type (ONO). The ligand is: (HL) phenyl 2-(2-hydroxybenzylidenamino)benzoate . This ligand was prepared by the reaction of (phenyl 2-aminobenzoate) with salicylaldehyde under reflux in ethanol and few drops of glacial acetic acid which gave the ligand (HL). The prepared ligand was characterized by (FT IR,UV–Vis) spectroscopy, Elemental analysis of carbon, hydrogen and nitrogen (C.H.N.) and melting point. The ligand was reacted with some metal ions under reflux in ethanol with (1 metal :2 ligand )mole ratio which gave complexes of the general formula: [M(L)2]Cl , M = Cr III La III and , Pr III Products were found

were synthesized by reaction of NaBH4 with indole -3- acetic acid (IAA) . The
coordination properties of ligands were studied with Co(II) , Ni(II) , Cu(II) and
Pt(IV) ions. Characterization and structural aspects of the prepared compounds were
elucidated by 1HNMR, FTIR electronic spectra, magnetic susceptibility, elemental
and metal analysis, thermal analysis (TG & DTG) and conductivity measurements.
The obtained data for metal complexes suggested square planar geometry for
copper complexes, octahedral geometry for nickel and platinium complexes and

Abstract: Mixed ligand Mn(II), Co(II), Ni(II), Cu (II), Zn(II), and Cd(II) complexes with (TMAP) Schiff base ligand and (8HQ) have been composition and analyzed. Diagnosis by, melting point, solubility, Electronic, mass and IR-spectroscopic studies, conductivity elemental, thermoanalytical analysis displayed the forming of mononuclear complexes. Spectral studies results suggest an octahedral system or the metal (II) mixed complexes. The detainments of molar conductance of the mixed complexes in DMF coincide to electrolytic nature of the mixed complexes, consequently, these complexes could be subedited as [M(TMAP)(8Q)(H2O)]nX.yH2O (M=Co(II) and Cu(II) complexes(where n = 1, y = 0 ); [M(TMAP)(8Q)(H2O)]nX.yH2O (M = (where n = 1, y = 1 for Ni(

The synthesis ligand (HL) was characterized by the CHN, (FT-IR), (UV-Vis), (1H,13C-NMR) and mass spectroscopy, in addition the melting point were used to charac-terize the Schiff base. A series of mixed metal ligands complexes were formed by using Schiff base ligand (HL) as primary ligand and Paracetamol (PAR) as a secondary ligand with five divalent metal ions; Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd(II) and Hg. The formed complexes were characterized by using some analytical and standard spectroscopic methods; molar conductivity, magnetic susceptibil-ity, FT-IR,
