Introduction. Intraoperative rupture (IOR) of an aneurysm is a frightful complication that causes significant morbidity and mortality worldwide. IOR can be attributed to various parameters, including hypertension, increased intracranial pressure (ICP), fragility of the vessels, and inadequate anaesthesia. IOR due to insufficient anaesthesia is scarcely reported in the literature. Here, we describe a re-ruptured anterior communicating artery (ACoA) after incomplete clipping of the neck during craniotomy closure due to unintended early wake-up from anaesthesia with a discussion about the management. Case description. A 38-year-old male suddenly developed a severe headache, a brief loss of consciousness, and vomiting. Computed tomography (CT) scan showed a subarachnoid haemorrhage in the basal cistern. CT angiography showed a bilobed right ACoA aneurysm with a wide neck and Murphy's teat. The patient was considered for surgery. Clipping of the aneurysm neck was done through two curved clips. During craniotomy closure, the patient started coughing and gagging then a huge IOR was encountered. These events can be mainly attributed to unintended inadequate anaesthesia, particularly muscle relaxants. The bleeding ceased after two suction catheters were inserted, temporary clips were applied, and the readjustment of permanent clips. After surgery, the patient showed a left-sided weakness. His postoperative CT scan showed a right distal anterior cerebral artery (ACA) territory infarction. The weakness improved in the follow-up period. Conclusion. Delayed IOR due to early awaking from anaesthesia should be considered a potential source of complications and bad outcomes in aneurysm surgery.
Introduction and Aim: Klebsiella pneumoniae is a Gram-negative bacterium responsible for a wide range of infections, including respiratory tract infections (RTIs). This research was aimed to study the antibacterial and anti-biofilm effect of AgNPs produced by Gram positive and negative bacteria on RTIs associated with K. pneumoniae. Materials and Methods: The biofilm formation of K. pneumoniae was determined by tube method qualitatively from select bacterial species characterized by UV-Visible spectroscopy. The antibacterial susceptibility of the bacteria AgNPs was tested for their antibacterial and antibiofilm activity on a clinical isolate of K. pneumoniae. Results: K. pneumoniae isolated from RTIs were strong biofilm prod

Electro-kinetic remediation technology is one of the developing technologies that offer great promise for the cleanup of soils contaminated with heavy metals. A numerical model was formulated to simulate copper (Cu) transport under an electric field using one-dimensional diffusion-advection equations describing the contaminant transport driven by chemical and electrical gradients in soil during the electro-kinetic remediation as a function of time and space. This model included complex physicochemical factors affecting the transport phenomena, such as soil pH value, aqueous phase reaction, adsorption, and precipitation. One-dimensional finitedifference computer program successfully predicted meaningful values for soil pH profiles and Cu

A total 225 individuals males of H. walga were collected using beach net. Gonads Somatic index (GSI) was high during May (10.1) and September (9.98) and the lowest values were recorded during on February, July and October with their values were 0.85, 1.21 and 1.43 respectively. Mature males were noticed during May and September which indicates there are two reproduction periods for H. walga during the year. The relationship between weight and width desk of H. walga was also investigated and generally demonstrated positive

S. aureus is an important food-borne pathogen of humans due to ingestion of food containing enterotoxigenic strains. Detecting S. aureus femA and mecA genes was evaluated with the use of a Loop-mediated Isothermal Amplification Method (LAMP). The accuracy of this approach was similar to that attained using the approach of the conventional polymerase chain (PCR). Those two methods characterized 43 isolates of MRSA which
