Sensory stimuli that support a child's recovery in the therapeutic environment
...Show More Authors

Caring for and treating a child's health is an important need to achieve optimal health? It is a concept that reaches beyond mere recovery from illness. It's achieved by balancing the different aspects of the child, including physical, psychological, mental, and spiritual aspects.A sick child needs therapeutic environments that provide medical care in a way that accelerates the recovery process. The therapeutic environment for the child prefers to be positive and conscious with its incentives that enhance the child's ability to receive treatment, reduce their fear and anxiety and distract them from the disease, which provokes positive feelings and helps them to recover quickly. Here comes the great role that pediatric hospitals play through their design style, which addresses dimensions related to the concepts of therapeutic indoor spaces and their financial and psychological impact on the child and thus their impact on the healing process

Hardy’s wide readings have changed his way of dealing with and thinking about so many critical issues which started to float on the surface of the English society during the mid and late of the 19th century. The Impact of Fear on a Harvested Prey–Predator System with Disease in a Prey
...Show More Authors

A mathematical eco-epidemiological model consisting of harvested prey–predator system involving fear and disease in the prey population is formulated and studied. The prey population is supposed to be separated into two groups: susceptible and infected. The susceptible prey grows logistically, whereas the infected prey cannot reproduce and instead competes for the environment’s carrying capacity. Furthermore, the disease is transferred through contact from infected to susceptible individuals, and there is no inherited transmission. The existence, positivity, and boundedness of the model’s solution are discussed. The local stability analysis is carried out. The persistence requirements are established. The global behavior of th

A Study on the Effect of Multistage Toolpath in Fabricating a Customized Cranial Implant in Incremental Sheet Metal Forming
...Show More Authors

Incremental sheet forming (ISF) process offers a high degree of flexibility in the manufacturing of different sheet parts, which makes it an ideal candidate for prototype parts as well as efficient at fabricating various customized products at low production costs compared to traditionally used processes. However, parts produced in this process exhibit notable geometrical inaccuracy and considerable thickness reduction. In this paper, the single point incremental sheet forming variant of the process has been implemented to manufacture a highly customized cranial implant starting from the computed tomography (CT) scan data of the patient's anatomy. A methodology, from the modeling to the realization of the implant, is presented and discus

The potential role of targeting the leptin receptor as a treatment for breast cancer in the context of hyperleptinemia: a literature review
...Show More Authors

Since cancer is becoming a leading cause of death worldwide, efforts should be concentrated on understanding its underlying biological alterations that would be utilized in disease management, especially prevention strategies. Within this context, multiple bodies of evidence have highlighted leptin’s practical and promising role, a peptide hormone extracted from adipose and fatty tissues with other adipokines, in promoting the proliferation, migration, and metastatic invasion of breast carcinoma cells. Excessive blood leptin levels and hyperleptinemia increase body fat content and stimulate appetite. Also, high leptin level is believed to be associated with several conditions, including overeating, emotional stress, inflammation, obesity,
