Contributory Factors related to the Tensile Strength of Hot Mix Asphalt Concrete
...Show More Authors

Tensile strength is a critical property of Hot Mix Asphalt (HMA) pavements and is closely related to distresses such as fatigue cracking. This study aims to evaluate methods for assessing fatigue cracking in Asphalt Concrete (AC) mixes. In order to achieve optimum density at different binder contents, the mixes were compressed using a gyratory compactor. Tensile strength was assessed using the Indirect Tensile (IDT) and Semi-Circular Bend (SCB) tests. The results showed that the tensile strength measured by the SCB test was consistently higher than that measured by the IDT test at 25 °C. In addition, the SCB test showed a stronger correlation between increasing binder content and tensile strength. For binder contents ranging from 4.2% to 5.2%, the IDT test results increased from 541% to 678.7%, while the SCB test results increased from 630.3% to 743.7%. These results suggest that the SCB test provides a more accurate representation of the tensile strength of AC mixes than the IDT test.

An analytical study of the use of VAR technology and its relationship to the psychological hesitation of referees in the Iraqi Professional League
...Show More Authors

Objective: Studying the opinions of referees on the use of VAR technology in Iraqi stadiums, and the extent of its impact on their decisions during matches, in addition to identifying their level of psychological hesitation.Research methodology: The descriptive approach was adopted in two ways survey and correlation. The research community was represented by the referees of the Iraqi Professional Football League, numbering (80) referees. The researcher chose all referees as a sample, as the sample amounted to (80) referees, i.e. a percentage of (100%) of the community. After that, the researcher divided the selected sample into a survey consisting of (10) players. To build the (VAR) questionnaire and find the scientific foundations

Contribution of Some Positive Variables (Happiness, Optimism, Hope) to the Level of Psychological Health in the Practitioners of the Nursing Profession in Algeria
...Show More Authors

This study identifies the contribution of some positive variables (happiness, optimism, and hope) to the level of psychological health in the practitioners of the nursing profession in Algeria, a total of (38) male and female nurses were employed as research sample. The researcher used a scale to measure happiness, optimism, hope, and psychological health. The results showed that the level of psychological health varies depending on the positive variables (happiness, optimism), as well as it depends on the variables of gender and professional Experience.

Utilizing Activated Carbon from the Date Fronds to Detect Latent Fingerprints
...Show More Authors

Background: In this work, a fingerprint powder was used to reveal latent fingerprints from different surfaces. This powder was derived from the Date fronds as activated carbon. Methods: In preparing the activated carbon, three parameters were studied: activation time, activation temperature, and impregnation ratio. Fourier Transform Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR) was used to characterize the prepared Date frond activated carbon (DFAC) as well as the raw material (Date frond plant). Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) was used to measure the specific surface area of DFAC. The surface shape and the element composition of the prepared powder were investigated using (SEM-EDS) analysis. A Central Composite Design (CCD) was employed to determine th

Cervical Uterine Cancer is a disease that explains the vulnerability in which women are in terms of reproductive health with an impact on occupational health and public health, even when in Mexico the prevalence rate is lower than the other member countries of the OECD, its impact on Human Development and Local Development shows the importance that the disease have in communities more than in cities where prevention policies through check-ups and medical examinations seem to curb the trend, but show the lack of opportunities and capacities of health centers in rural areas.   To establish the reliability, validity, and correlations between the variables reported in the literature with respect to their weighting in a public hospital. A
