Classification of grapevine leaves images using VGG-16 and VGG-19 deep learning nets
...Show More Authors

The successful implementation of deep learning nets opens up possibilities for various applications in viticulture, including disease detection, plant health monitoring, and grapevine variety identification. With the progressive advancements in the domain of deep learning, further advancements and refinements in the models and datasets can be expected, potentially leading to even more accurate and efficient classification systems for grapevine leaves and beyond. Overall, this research provides valuable insights into the potential of deep learning for agricultural applications and paves the way for future studies in this domain. This work employs a convolutional neural network (CNN)-based architecture to perform grapevine leaf image classification by adapting VGG-16 net and VGG-19 net models and subsequently identifying the optimal performer between the two nets during the classification process. A publicly available dataset comprising 500 images categorized into 5 distinct classes (100 images per class), was utilized in this work. The obtained empirical outcomes demonstrate a remarkable accuracy rate of 99.6% for the VGG-16 net model, while VGG-19 net achieves a 100% accuracy rate. Based on these findings, it can be inferred that VGG-19 net exhibits superior performance in classifying images of grapevine leaves compared to the VGG-16 net. © (2024), (Universitas Ahmad Dahlan). The influence of Online Training Courses on Iraqi EFL Instructors Teaching and Learning Process
...Show More Authors

For over a decade, educational technology has been used sparingly in our schools and universities. Online training courses have been used since 2003 to fill the gaps in our learning system and to add extra program besides classroom learning. This paper aims to investigate the Iraqi EFL instructors’ participating in online training courses and its influence on the process of teaching and learning.

The sample of present study consists of 30 instructors from University of Baghdad. The questionnaire of sixteen items was constructed. After ensuring validity and reliability of questionnaire, it was applied on March 2013 and the result shows that most of instructors improve their teaching methods b

The Effect of Group Investigation Model on Learning overhead and underarm Pass in Volleyball
...Show More Authors

Volleyball is one of the sports that require physical and skill abilities thus many teaching models appeared to teach these abilities like group investigation model. The research aimed at identifying the effect of group investigation model on learning underarm and overhead passing in volleyball. The researchers hypothesized statistical differences between pre and posttests in learning underarm and overhead passing in volleyball as well as differences in posttests of controlling and experimental groups in learning underarm and overhead passing in volleyball. The researcher used the experimental method on (30) second year female students of physical education and sport sciences college/ university of Baghdad. Group investigation model was app

The Synbiotic Effect Of Volaticle Oil Extracted From Leaves Rosmarinus Officinolis And Nigellai Sativa On Microbial And Sensory Characteristics Of Minced Poultry Meat During Cold Storage
...Show More Authors

The objective of present study was to investigate the effect of using duplex volaticle oil of Rosmarinusoficinolis and Nigella sativain microbial quality, sensing and extending storage time of minced cold poultry meat. Duplex volaticle oil was added at 25, 50 and 75 mg/kg to minced poultry meat , these treatments were stored individually for (0 ,4 and 7) days at( 4-7) C0 . After making several microbial and sensing test. The following results were obtained:- The process of adding duplex volaticle oil of Rosmarinus officinolis and Nigella sativa to minced poultry meat led to significant reduced (P<0.01) in total arobic count, psychrophilic count and coliform bacteria during refrigerated storage periods. The results showed asignificant sens

Methods of teaching plays an important vole in the educational process
because is the link between the teacher and the learner. The process of
teaching doesut fulfill the desirable results unless the methods of guiding and
teaching are provided and through a qualified educationalist capable of
communicating the syllabus to the students in an easy and clear way. In spite
of the diversity of the methods of teaching ,there is no one way suitable for all
the educational purposes , all the sciences ,all the subjects ,all the levels of

Study of the difficulties and strategies of learning atonic pronouns in ELE teaching in Iraq
...Show More Authors

The objective of this study is to analyze the difficulties faced by intermediate-level Iraqi students in the use of Spanish unstressed pronouns as a foreign language (ELE). Through a mixed methodology, a descriptive and explanatory analysis was conducted based on written and oral productions of B1-level students at the University of Baghdad. The results show that factors such as interference from the native language (Arabic) and English, as well as grammatical differences between Spanish and Arabic, generate difficulties in the correct use of unstressed pronouns. A contrastive teaching approach is proposed that takes advantage of students' cognitive abilities to highlight similarities and differences between both languages. This stu
