Double Exile: Jean Rhys's Wide Sargasso Sea

The problems of cultural displacement and a shaky sense of one's own identity
have been the main concern of the twentieth century Caribbean writer, Jean Rhys. As
a white Creole writer living in England, Rhys attempts to capture the ambivalence of
what it means to be caught between two cultures and never able to identify fully with
any one .Born to a Welsh father and a Creole(white West Indian) mother on the island
of Dominica in the West Indies, Jean Rhys was white but not English, West Indian but
not black. Her sense of belonging to the West Indies was necessarily charged with
awareness of being part of another culture. Thus, the ambiguity of being an
insider/outsider in both the metropolis, England, and the colo

Nesting Technique : It’s Effects on Preterm Cardiorespiratory Indicators
...Show More Authors

Background: Premature infant born with immature body system, their organs are not ready for extra uterine life, and they are unable to deal with external stress, which could alter body functions such as cardio-respiratory function. In addition, poor muscle tone increases the chance of developing an abnormal posture. To reduce this instability, applying developmental care such as nesting is vital to promote cardio-respiratory stability, maintain position, and reduce stress in preterm.      Objectives: The study aims to assess the impact of the nesting technique on preterm cardio-respiratory parameters in various positions (supine, prone, and right lateral).       Methodology: The research used randomized controlled trial des

Influence of tellurium on physical properties of ZnIn2Se4 thin films solar cell
...Show More Authors

ZnIn2(Se1-xTex)4 (ZIST) chalcopyrite semiconductor thin films at various contents (x = 0.0, 0.2, and 0.4) are deposited on glass and p type silicon (111) substrate to produce heterojunction solar cell by using the thermal evaporation technique at RT where the thickness of 500 nm with a vacuum of 1×10-5 mbar and a deposited rates of 5.1 nm/s. This study focuses on how differing x content effect on the factors affecting the solar cell characteristics of ZIST thin film and n-ZIST/p-Si heterojunction. X-ray diffraction XRD investigation shows that this structure of ZIST film is polycrystalline and tetragonal, with (112) preferred orientation at 2θ ≈ 27.01. Moreover, atomic force microscopy AFM is studying the external morphology of

The present study discusses the problem based learning in Iraqi classroom. This method aims to involve all learners in collaborative activities and it is learner-centered method. To fulfill the aims and verify the hypothesis which reads as follow” It is hypothesized that there is no statistically significant differences between the achievements of Experimental group and control group”. Thirty learners are selected to be the sample of present study.Mann-Whitney Test for two independent samples is used to analysis the results. The analysis shows that experimental group’s members who are taught according to problem based learning gets higher scores than the control group’s members who are taught according to traditional method. EFFECT OF CULTIVATION DATES AND DIFFERENT SOURCES OF SOIL FERTILIZATION ON VEGETATIVE CHARACTERISTICS, QUALITY AND YIELD OF BROCCOLI
...Show More Authors

This field experiment was conducted at Research Station B, Department of Horticulture and Landscape Engineering, College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, University of Baghdad, Jadiriyah during the fall season of 2019-2020 to evaluate the effect of cultivation dates and soil fertilization source on the growth, yield and quality of broccoli. A split plot design within the RCBD design with three replicates was applied as the Max F1 hybrid broccoli seedlings were transferred to the field at two dates 25, Sep. 2019 and 15, Oct. 2019, which were symbolized as A and B, respectively, and occupied at the main plot. After two weeks of cultivation, the soil fertilizers were applied three times during the season in 20 days between each applicati
