Effect of Nitrogen and Sulfur Fertilizers on Growth and Yield of Canola
...Show More Authors
Abstract<p>For the purpose of determining the impact of three levels of nitrogen fertilizer (0, 60, and 120 kg.ha-1) and sulfur fertilizer (0, 40, and 60 kg.ha-1) on production and growth indicators (number of leaves, number of branches, chlorophyll pigments, and fresh and dry weights), a field experiment was carried out during the winter season (2021/2022) in the fields of Al-Diwaniyah Province, Ministry of Agriculture, Diwaniyah Agriculture Directorate, Al-Nouriyah Forest Division. Means were compared using the least significant difference test (LSD) at a 0.05 level of probability. In a factorial experiment employing a wholly randomized block design with three replications, treatment combinations were allocated among factors. The most important results obtained are that the 120 kg N ha-1 treatment recorded the highest means for plant height, number of branches, number of leaves and fresh weight, while the 60 kg N ha-1 treatment recorded the highest means for dry weight and total chlorophyll. As for the yield and its components, the 60 kg N ha-1 treatment was significantly excelled and recorded the highest means in the number of pods, the number of seeds, the weight of 200 seeds, grain yield, and dry matter yield, while the 120 kg N ha-1 treatment recorded the highest means in pod length. The treatment with 60 kg S ha-1 significantly affected all vegetative traits and yield traits studied except for the trait of 200 seed weight, which had the highest average when adding 40 kg S ha-1.</p>

A field experiment was carried out in one of the agricultural fields in Thi Qar governorate in Nasiriyah during the winter season 2017-2018 The aim was to investigate the effect of foliar application of seaweed extract on yield and quality of four varieties of broad bean .The design of field experiment was (RCBD) in factorial experiments with three replications in two factors. .The first factor included four broad bean cultivars (Luz de otono – Grano Violtto -local - Aquadols. ( The second factor included four sprayed extracts of the seaweed extract (1, 2, 3 and 4 g L -1) In addition to the comparison treatment in which the plants were sprayed with distilled water only. . The plants of the broad bean that were sprayed with seaweed extract

Response of Three Citrus Rootstocks to Organic and Biological Fertilizers
...Show More Authors

This study was conducted in a lath house, Dept of Hort. and Landscape, College of Agricultural Engineering Sciences, Univ. During the 2021 growing season, Baghdad will investigate the influence of organic and Biological fertilizers on three Citrus rootstocks' growth and leaf mineral content. The first factor is the addition of liquid organic fertilizers Vit-Org (O) at three levels without addition (O0), soil addition at 10 ml.L-1 (O10) and soil addition at 20 ml.L-1 (O20). The second factor is the addition of nitrogen-fixing bacteria without addition (N1), add 30 ml.Transplant-1 of Azotobacter chroococcum (N2) and add 30 ml.Transplant-1 of Azospirillum brasilemse (N3). The third factor is three citrus rootstocks: sour orange (R1), R

Abstract<p>The objective of the present work was to estimate water requirements and water use efficiency for Broccoli under normal irrigation conditions and sewage irrigation. Field experiment was carried out during the season 2018 at station/Sulaimni agricultural station/Bakrajo –College of Agricultural Sciences. The experiment included three treatments: River water irrigation in all season growth (I1), Sewage water irrigation in all season growth (I2), Alternate irrigation (one river irrigation followed by two sewage water irrigation) in all season growth (I3). The experimental Design was Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) w</p> ... Show More

Larval instar duration of the house fly Musca domesticais influenced by the application of GHA and precocine. Topical use of ug / ul of JHA KID 183 prolonge Juvenile period compared to the control. On the contrary, application of ug / ul of precocine decreased it. Application of both substances has no effect. The emergence inhibitors were also influenced by such treatments. It reached 52.39% by the use of JHA, (-14.28%) by the use of precocine.

The experimental was carried out to study the effect of Mentha viridis and Apium graveolensleaves by 5, 10 gm/kg soil that added then to soil alone and 5, 10 gm/kg soil together on growth of Beta vulgaris plants. The results showed that increased significantly germination accelerator, plant height leaves number fresh and dry maters, chlorophyll content, absolute growth rate, inflorescence number, fertilizer efficiency while the N, P, K and Fe increased in all the treatment plants compared with control plants.

Abstract<p>Grass carp at a weight of 34.68 + 2 g were gradually exposed to four saline concentrations: tap water (0.1), 3, 6, 9, and 12 gm/litter, and the first concentration represented a control treatment. Fish were fed on a diet with a protein content of 30% for ten weeks. Results of the growth experiment showed that the feed conversion rate was 2.46, 3.58, 4.84, 6.77, and -8.56 in the first to fifth treatments, respectively, and the rate feed conversion efficiency was 40.65, 27. 93, 20.66, 14.77 and 11.68 %, while the protein intake was 22.38, 20.44, 18.86, 17.47 and 16.56 g in salt concentrations of 0.1, 3, 6, 9 and 12 g/L, respectively.
