A series of new 2-quinolone derivatives linked to benzene sulphonyl moieties were performed by many steps: the first step involved preparation of different coumarins (A1,A2) by condensation of different substituted phenols with ethyl acetoacetate. The compound A1 was treated with nitric acid to afford two isomers of nitrocoumarin derivatives (A3) and (A4). The prepared compounds (A2, A3) were treated with hydrazine hydrate to synthesize different 2-quinolone compounds (A5,A6) while the coumarin treated with different amines gave compounds (A7,A8). Then the synthesized 2-quinolone compounds (A5-A8) treated with benzene sulphonyl chloride to afford new sulfonamide derivatives (A9-A12). The synthesized compounds were characterized by FT-IR, 1H

To characterize both the ligand and the metal complexes, various techniques were employed, including elemental analysis, FT-IR spectroscopy, UV-Vis spectroscopy, molar conductivity measurements, magnetic moment determination, melting point, mass spectroscopy, 1H-NMR and 13C-NMR spectroscopy. The results showed that the metal complexes formed have the formula [M(L)2Cl2]Cl(n).H2O, where LD Schi base ligand and MDCr(III), Rh(III), Pt(IV) and Au(III), n D 1, 2. Based on spectroscopic analysis, coordination with metal ions involves the ’N’ donor atom of N atoms of the imine and the N-H amid group, and four complexes are suggested to have a six-coordinated octahedral structure. Following that, treatment of (2) with different amines using the grand method to generate imidazole [1,2-a] pyridine sulfonamides. All the synthesized compounds have been characterized by FTIR, 1HNMR and 13CNMR and C.H.N analysis. The DFT, POM analysis and molecular docking were carried out on for all final compounds to investigate drug like attributes, and the results revealed showed that the

Show MoreTetradentate complexes type [M (HL) 2] were prepared from the reaction of 2-hydroxy -1, 2-diphynel-ethanone oxime [H2L] and KOH with ( Mn II, Fe II, Co II, Ni II , Cu II and Hg II ), in methanol with (2:1) metal: ligand ratio. The general formula for Cu II and Mn II complexes are [M (HL) 2 Cl.H2O] K, for Co II [Co (HL) 2. H2O] and [M (HL) 2] for the rest of complexes. All compounds were characterised by spectroscopic methods, I.R, U.V-Vis, H.P.L.C, atomic absorption and conductivity measurements chloride content. From the data of these measurements, the proposed molecular structures for Fe II and Hg II complexes are tetrahedrals, while Mn II and Cu II complexes are octahedrals, Ni II complex adopting square planar structure and the complex

Show MoreDiazotization reaction between 1-(2,4,6-trihydroxy-phenyl)-ethanone and diazonium salts produced the ligand 4-(3-Acetyl-2,4,6-trihydroxy-phenylazo)-N-(5-methyl-isoxazol-3-yl)- benzenesulfonamide, which in turn reacted with the metal ions (Ni2+, Zn2+, Pd2+ and Pt4+) forming stable complexes with Octahedral geometry suggest of (Ni2+ and Pt4+), Zn2+ complex Tetrahedral and Pd2+ complex Square planer. The creation of such complexes was detected by employing spectroscopic means involving ultraviolet-visible, which proved the obtained geometries; FT-IR confirmed the formation of the azo group and the coordination with metal ions through it. Thermogravimetric analysis studies demonstrated the coordination of water residues (aqua or hydrate) with m

The structures of the complexes have been conclusively determined by a set of spectroscopic techniques (FT-IR, 1H-NMR, and mass spectra). Finally, the biological properties of the complexes have been investigated with a comparative approach against different species of bacteria (E. coli G-, Pseudomonas G-, Bacillus G+,

The synthesized ligand was characterized using CHN, FT-IR, UV-Vis, and NMR spectroscopic techniques. Complexes of the ligand with VO2+, Cr3+, Mn2+, and Mo6+ ions were prepared in a (1:2) ratio, with the general formula [M(L)2]. The obtained complexes were characterized using flame atomic absorption, CHN analysis, FT-IR, and UV-Vis spectroscopy, in addition to magnetic susceptibility and conductivity measurements. The findings suggest that the ligand functions as a bidentate, with the complexes exhibiting octahedral, square planar and square pyramidal geometries. All the complexes were identified as non-electrolytes. Their antioxidant ef
