The present study conducted on 120 obese males and 50 healthy males, their age ranged from 20-50 years. The patients were divided into 3 groups based on Body Mass Index (BMI) and Central Obesity (CO), it has noticed that there is a significant relation between both indexes. The DNA was isolated from the blood of patients and applies for PCR by using designed primers for exons 1 and 3 of GCG gene. The results showed that there are mutants in exon 1 at locus 9573 (G/C) for 30 patients and locus 9864 (C/-) for 10 patients with X2 = 12.30, also it has fund mutants in exon 3 at locus 5397 (A/G) for 28 patients and locus 5434 (G/A) for 8 patients with X2 = 11.11. These mutants have a high significant effect P≤ 0.001 to cause pathogenicity.

In order to investigate the levels of reduced glutathione GSH and  α1-antitrypsine in the sera of 20 type 2 diabetic patients and 10 healthy subjects, were enrolled in this study. A significant reduction in GSH level was found in the patient group compared with control.  On the other hand a significant elevation in α1-antitrypsine in patient compared with control was observed.  Correlation between α1-antitrypsine and reduced glutathion was found to be positive (+Ve) for diabetes mellitus type2 patients and negative (-Ve) for healthy control with r values 0.257 and – 0.339 respectively.  In conclusion the depletion of GSH as antioxidant defense insured higher free radical generation in diabetic patients

In this research, the mechanical properties of natural rubber blends in different proportions (70:30, 85:15, 100: 0 55:45 and phr) was studied through the use of two types of fillers (carbon black and titanium dioxide Nano) which show through tests conducted on the prepared models that increase fillers content which leads to improve the tensile properties (tensile strength, elastic modulus, elongation, hardness and compressibility).     Examining of 80 feces samples showed that 31 samples of the house and stray cats harbored either single or mixed infection with eight species of parasites and protozoa with a total infection rate 38.75 %.The results on parasite classes are: Toxocara cati (5%), Ancylostoma tubeforme (3.75%), Capillaria felis(3.75%), Isospora sp.(10%), Cryptosporidium parvum(3.75%), Cryptosporidium muris (6.25%), Toxoplasma gondi (3.75%), Giardia sp.(2.5%) infection from feces of cats that showed single, double and triple infections. Our findings revealed the risk for public health, thus preventive measures should be implemented.

Radon concentrations are measured for water samples collected from twenty wells which were drilled in Hashimiya area in addition to twelve samples of surface water using Alpha Gaurd. 140 samples, 7 for each well, were collected represent wet season in continuous pumping and 20 samples, one for each well, were collected represent dry season. Concentration of radon in groundwater is many times of its concentration in surface water. The minimum concentration in groundwater is about (7) Bq/L and (5) Bq/L while the maximum concentration is about (31) Bq/L and (19) Bq/L in wet season and dry season respectively.
