This study is an attempt to investigate the semantic and syntactic features of English and Arabic verbs of eating. After surveying the literature on the meaning of verbs in both languages, three chapters address the major issues in this subject. The problem to be investigated in this study can be summarized in the following points: 1. The overlapping of semantic and syntactic features within the category of verbs of eating in English and Arabic. 2. Which semantic classification is more accurate and through which method? 3. Which classification, the semantic or the syntactic, is more important? This study hypothesized the following: 1. The semantic features are more influential in analyzing the category of verbs of eating than the syntactic ones. 2. There is a similarity in terms of semantic and syntactic characteristics of verbs of eating in English as well as in Arabic Chapter two deals with the semantic classification of English and Arabic verbs of eating. It starts with classifying verbs of eating according to the semantic roles of their subjects and the semantic domains of these verbs, such as intentional/unintentional and stative dynamic features. The relationship between English and Arabic semantic roles and the metaphorical usage of this category of verbs has been addressed in two separate sections. Chapter Three studies the syntactic features of verbs of eating in both languages. It is an attempt to show whether these verbs are transitive/intransitive and regular irregular. It also shows that in every semantic class there is a combination of semantic features on one hand and syntactic features on the other hand. (53) English verbs of eating and (53) Arabic verbs of eating have been surveyed in Chapter Four. They have been analyzed in terms of their meanings, their semantic features, the semantic roles of their subjects, their syntactic features, and their ordinary usage and metaphorical usage. In light of the findings of the study, several recommendations are suggested

The environment contemporary works for the insurance companies have seen a number of technological developments and changes rapidly in light of the intense competition in the insurance market, and this affects human behavior in the workplace, and to director in his work needs to be a set of managerial skills. so we find compensation activity in companies insurance needs a high managerial skills, so that compensation, director of the settlement procedure successfully. So research aims to test two hypotheses two major belongings variables search using some statistical methods to extract the results and interpretation and analysis (such as arithmetic mean, standard deviation, percentages, Alpha Cronbach's coefficient, Pearson correlation co

This study aimed to improve the LAS bioavailability via formulation as nanoemulsionbased in situ gel (NEIG) given intranasally and then compare the traditional aqueous-LASsuspension (AQS) with the two successful intranasal prepared formulations (NEIG 2 and NEIG 5) in order to determine its relative bioavailability (F-relative) via using rabbits.
This research aims at shedding light on the concept of insurance awareness and clarifying its role on marketing insurance services of a sample of (100) employees in the National Company for Insurance. Questionnaire is used as a main instrument for collecting data and information from the sample. Their answers were analyzed by using arithmetic means, standard deviation, centesimal weight, and the correlation coefficient ( , F, t) tests .The research reached several conclusions of which:1.The sample member's response to insurance awareness and marketing insurance services factors was in the medium level.2.There was a positive relationship of a moral sign between insurance awareness and marketing insurance services, that correlation coeffic

Background: Oral health is important to the quality of life of all individuals. Oral lesions can cause discomfort or pain that interferes with mastication, swallowing, and speech. Oral disease is a health problem that is not only a matter of oral hygiene and local condition, but can also be a precursor to other dangerous and potentially life threatening illnesses. The present study was designed to analyze the main clinicopathological aspects of most common oral lesions in patients who visit the Oral Diagnosis Clinic of the College of Dentistry, University of Sulaimani, Kurdistan region, Iraq. Patients and methods: This prospective study was performed on 3144 patients from July 2009-July 2010. In this study a total of 3144 patients were e

The analysis is conducted for different boundary conditions: only convection boundary conditions then combined radiation, convection boundary conditions also for different aspect ratio (AR) of cooling channel. The results show that Utilizing cooling channels of high aspect ratio leads to decrease in temperature variation across thrust chamber wall, while no effects on heat transferred to the
