Medical records of children admitted throughout three years period were collected for demographics data and statistical analysis using Chi-square test. Results: A total of 4,272 admissions and 309 deaths were recorded. Infectious diseases remain the primary cause of hospitalization among children and frequently lead to death; which recorded (56%) followed by acute respiratory diseases (35.5%). Conclusion: Health interventional programs such as integrated management of childhood illnesses and primary health care system as well as intensification of immunization programs would most likely lead to minimize the incidence of infectious diseases in children.

Museum education is of great importance to an appropriate representation of museums’ collections and exhibits, including traditional fashion. Therefore, museum educators/curators need to be equipped with the most essential skills in their profession in order to adequately present the museum’s history and holdings. Investigation and genetic confirmation of the Cryptosporidium species in fish handlers in Baghdad city
...Show More Authors

Objective: The present study aims to investigate molecular confirmation for Cryptosporidium species in fish handlers in Baghdad City, central Iraq. Materials and Methods: Sixty stool samples were collected between early November 2023 and late April 2024. All samples were examined phenotypically using a modified Ziehl-Neelsen stain and genotypically (nested polymerase chain reaction technique) based on a partial sequence of 18S rRNA genes with sequencing and phylogenetic tree analysis. Results: The total molecular results identified Cryptosporidium parvum with an infection rate of 45% (27/60). A higher infection rate of 51.9% (14/27) was found in the age group between 15 and 35 years, and male

Abstract

The upper posterior teeth are usually in close relation to the maxillary sinus (MS). This proximity may lead to serious complications throughout different dental procedures. Early diagnosis and management play a significant role in preventing the sequelae of sinusitis and/or cysts. This article presented an extremely unusual case of barbed broach (BB) displacement into the MS, during endodontic treatment, together with the optimal surgical management. Searching the databases has revealed that it was be the first case reported in the literature. It seemed that the modified Caldwell-Luc approach used in this case was very safe, effective, and associated with minimal

Prediction of Monthly Fluoride Content in Tigris River using SARIMA Model in R Software
...Show More Authors

The need to create the optimal water quality management process has motivated researchers to pursue prediction modeling development. One of the widely important forecasting models is the sessional autoregressive integrated moving average (SARIMA) model. In the present study, a SARIMA model was developed in R software to fit a time series data of monthly fluoride content collected from six stations on Tigris River for the period from 2004 to 2014. The adequate SARIMA model that has the least Akaike's information criterion (AIC) and mean squared error (MSE) was found to be SARIMA (2,0,0) (0,1,1). The model parameters were identified and diagnosed to derive the forecasting equations at each selected location. The correlation coefficien
