Arabic language processing with artificial intelligence has evolved significantly in the past decades, from traditional rule- and dictionary-based techniques, through statistical models to modern deep and transformer models. This review intends to present an overview of the most well-known Arabic models as well as datasets used for its training, and the main practical applications such as sentiment analysis, machine translation, speech recognition, and smart assistant. AI-based Arabic NLP has had good progress in the previous decades, from rule and dictionary-based approaches to statistical methods and deep transformative learning models nowadays. In addition to it, the most popular state-of-the-art models that are fine-tuned for the Arabic language and their corpora of training data will be considered as well as major applications such as Sentiment Analysis, Machine Translation, Speech Recognition, and Virtual Assistant. This article review outlines the necessity for investment in language resources and advanced models to improve AI systems’ ability to accurately understand Arabic natural language, a contribution that will support real-life applications and smart services associated with its present formalized variant of AI model capabilities.
This paper investigates the collocational use of irreversible food binomials in the lexicons of English (UK) and Arabic (Iraq), their word-order motivations, cultural background, and how they compare. Data consisted in sixteen pairs in English, versus fifteen in Arabic. Data analysis has shown their word order is largely motivated by logical sequencing of precedence; the semantically bigger or better item comes first and the phonologically longer word goes last. This study was conducted to investigate phytoplasma causing a virescence disease on Arabic jasmine Jasminum sambac based on microscopy and molecular approaches. Samples were collected from symptomatic Arabic jasmine plants grown in nurseries in Baghdad-Iraq. Specimens from infected plants were prepared and Dienes stained for light microscopy examination. Undoubtedly, rutting in asphalt concrete pavement is considered a major dilemma in terms of pavement performance and safety faced by road users as well as the road authorities. Rutting is a bowl-shaped depression in the wheel paths that develop gradually with the increasing number of load applications. Heavy axle loadings besides the high pavement summer temperature enhance the problem of rutting. Dexamethasone, according to the findings of the RECOVERY clinical trial, declared mid-June 2020 in print media was one of those therapies.
