This study was carried out in Baghdad (Al-Jadiriya) in 2006 by  detecting ability of aquatic reed plant to remove heavy metals (Chromium) from waste water by batch process of adsorption with considering that acidic solution is best selection for such process with constant initial chromium concentration(60 mg/l),speed of shaking(300 rpm), temperature (30 Co) and constant contact time (4 h) but with different weights of adsorbent (reed) (0.5 ,1 ,2 ,3 and 4 )gm for each 100 ml volume of sample .          The results showed that the percentage of the removed chromium were ( 8% ,17.5% ,31% ,40% and 50%) respectively for each sample according to the mass of adsorb

The current study suggested a thermal treatment as a necessary proactive step in improving the adsorption capacity of bio-waste for contaminants removal in wastewater. This approach was based on the experimental and histological investigation of biowaste pods shell. This investigation showed that these shells compose of parenchyma cells that store secondary metabolites compounds produced from cells were exhibited in present study. The results also reported that these compounds are extracted directly from the cells as soon as they are exposed to an aqueous solution, hampering their use as an adsorbent material. The purpose of this study was to examine the association of oral administration of Carbamazepine during pregnancy and the histological changes in the ovaries of mice. Timed-pregnant mice were divided into experimental and control groups. 60 mice in the experimental group received daily oral of 15 mg/kg of carbamazepine via intragastric tube on gestational days 0 to 18. 20 mice were used as control group. They received normal saline via the same route. Dams underwent laparotomy on pregnancy days 13, 15, and 18 and the ovaries were collected. Routine histological processing of the ovaries histology of paraffin sections stained with haemotoxylin and eosin, were conducted.
