In the present work, radium (²²⁶Ra), thorium (²³²Th), potassium (⁴⁰ K), and cesium (¹³⁷Cs) (Bq/kg) was measured for 24 soil samples of some districts of Al-Doura city in Baghdad governorate. The gamma spectrometry method with NaI (Tl) detector was used for radiometric measurements. The average values of specific activity for   ²²⁶Ra, ²³²Th, ⁴⁰K and ¹³⁷Cs in soil samples were 38.03, 42.48, 16.34 and 2.76 Bq/kg, respectively. This study was done to find the effect of Tigris-Therthar channel on the water quality of Tigris River to face the climate change which causes decreasing in water resources, in addition to decreasing in its quality. Nine stations were chosen located on Tigris River, Tigris-Therthar channel, Groundwater, and Therthar lake. The results indicated that the TDS increased in summer season, and the effect of Tigris-Therthar cannel was limited, also the effect of groundwater was limited, but there was an indication refers of possibility of increasing these effects on the quality of water. The study recommends observing the Tigris River through a programme to identify any change in water in future.

This work is concerned with studying the optimal classical continuous control quaternary vector problem. It is consisted of; the quaternary nonlinear hyperbolic boundary value problem and the cost functional. At first, the weak form of the quaternary nonlinear hyperbolic boundary value problem is obtained. Then under suitable hypotheses, the existence theorem of a unique state quaternary vector solution for the weak form where the classical continuous control quaternary vector is considered known is stated and demonstrated by employing the method of Galerkin and the compactness theorem. In addition, the continuity operator between the state quaternary vector solution of the weak form and the corresponding classical continuous control qua
