INVESTIGATION THE PROPERTIES OF SILICONE RUBBER BLEND REINFORCED BY NATURAL NANOPARTICLES AND UHMWPE FIBER
...Show More Authors

Many faces are exposed to degradation, discoloration, changes in humidity. The primary objective has improved some properties of hybrid nanocomposites materials that used for restoring of the function maxillofacial prosthesis and improving the esthetic. In the present research different lengths chopped and continuous of ultrahigh molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) fiber was added at selected percentage (0.0, 0.2% and 1%) to polymer blend composite (95%SR /5%PMMA: 0.2% Pomegranate Peels Powder (PPP)) for developing the properties of silicone rubber used for the maxillofacial prosthesis applications. Some mechanical and physical properties were done on the all prepared samples. The results showed that all properties have improved when added 0.5% ratio of continuous UHMWPE fiber to polymer blend nanocomposite (95%SR /5%PMMA: 0.2% Pomegranate Peels Powder (PPP)) sample and this represents the optimal ratios of components of hybrid composite sample. Therefore, this blend may be a candidate for achieving the properties required for the applications of maxillofacial prosthetics

The effect of using polyolefin fiber on some properties of slurry-infiltrated fibrous concrete
...Show More Authors
Abstract
Slurry-infiltrated fibrous concrete (SIFCON) is a special type of concrete that has great strength, as well as high ductility. However, the unit weight is high, which exceeds the unit weight of fiber-reinforced concrete, because of the high fiber content. This research aims to verify the compressive and flexural strength, as well as the density of SIFCON when using two different fibers (steel and polyolefin). Sometimes mono type of fiber steel or polyolefin, sometimes by hybridizing two types of fiber steel + polyplefin. Volume fraction (6% for all species) was used. Hook-end steel fiber and polyolefin fiber are used. With hybridization, a total volume fraction of 6% was used, which
... Show More

Mechanical properties of carbon nanotube reinforced Epoxy Resin composites
...Show More Authors

Overlapped have been prepared from epoxy resin material added to carbon Nanotube and percentages weight (0.1, 0.05, 0.01) % Studied the mechanical properties of the composite (bending, tensile an d hardness) has been found that the Flexural and tensile modulus of the composites were higher than the pure epoxy resin this may be due to the high mechanical strength of carbon nano tube (CNT). The hardness of the epoxy carbon Nanotube composites increased and the reason is due to increased overlap and stacking between the additives and material basis, which reduces the movement of polymer molecules leading to increased resistance to scratching material and cutting, will become more resistance to plastic deformation.

Experimental Investigation of Natural Convection into a Horizontal Annular Tube with Porous Medium Effects
...Show More Authors

In this work, an experimental investigation has been done for heat transfer by natural-convection through a horizontal concentric annulus with porous media effects. The porous structure in gap spacing consists of a glass balls and replaced by plastic (PVC) balls with different sizes. The outer surface of outer tube is isothermally cooled while the outer surface of inner tube is heated with constant heat flux condition. The inner tube is heated with different supplied electrical power levels. Four different radius ratios of annulus are used. The effects of porous media material, particles size and annulus radius ratio on heat dissipation in terms of average Nusselt number have been analyzed.

Fabrication and Investigation of Structural, Optical and Dielectric Properties of ZnO:MnO2 Composites

In this work, (ZnO)1-x(MnO2)x compounds were synthesized with composition (x=0, 0.1, 0.2, 0.3, 0.4, and 0.5) of manganese oxide content using solid state reaction. Thin films were prepared from these compounds on glass substrates at room temperature using pulsed laser deposition method. The structure of the prepared compounds and thin films were analyzed using x-ray diffraction while the optical properties was measured using UV-visible spectrophotometry. It was found that the synthesized composites declared many peaks in the diffraction pattern which indicate polycrystalline structure with hexagonal wurtzite hexagonal structure of ZnO, and MnO2 and Mn2O3 secondary phases. A narrowing in the optical energy gap was found as Mn content increas

EXPERIMENTAL INVESTIGATION OF LAMINAR NATURAL CONVECTION HEAT TRANSFER IN A RECTANGULAR ENCLOSURE WITH AND WITHOUT INSIDE PARTITIONS
...Show More Authors

Experimental study has been conducted for laminar natural convection heat transfer of air flow through a rectangular enclosure fitted with vertical partition. The partition was oriented parallel to the two vertical isothermal walls with different temperatures, while all the other surfaces of the enclosure were insulated. In this study a test rig has been designed and constructed to allow studying the effect of Rayleigh number, aperture height ratio, partition thickness, the position of aperture according to the side walls and according to the height, the position of the partition according to the hot wall, and partition inclination. The experiments were carried out with air as the working fluid for Rayleigh number range (5*107 – 1.3*10

Investigation on Natural Convection in a Square Porous Cavity with an Open Side
...Show More Authors

Natural convection in a porous, rectangular hollow full of saturated air was investigated numerically in the current study. The bottom side was warmed with a continuous heat flux, the right side's temperature was kept at (Tc), the left wall was opened to the surroundings, and the top side was insulated. The pertinent filled-out research parameters in the current experiment were four heat flux values (1500, 3000, 4500, and 6000 W/m²) and three Darcy’s numbers (Da1=4.025×10-10, Da2=4.025×10-8, Da3=4.025×10-6). COMSOL Multiphysics 5.5a, using finite elements and a relying Brinkman-Darcy extended model, was employed to resolve government equations. Local thermal balance simulation was assumed in this solution. Energy transfer and
