Till now, isatin derivatives have received a lot of interest in organic and medicinal chemistry due to their significant biological and pharmacological activities. Schiff’s and Mannich bases of isatins are an effective group of heterocyclic derivatives that play a significant role in medicinal chemistry as antimicrobial agents. In light of these facts, new Schiff bases and Mannich bases of isatin were synthesized. The monomer Mannich bases; 3(a-e) have been synthesized by reacting isatin with different secondary amines, piperidine, morpholine, and pyrrolidine, dimethylamine, diphenylamine, separately, and formaldehyde, while the dimer (5) formed by using piperazine and formaldehyde which then react separately with Phenylhydrazine
... Show MoreSo far synthesis of Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone (GnRH) analogues reported in the literature has clarified some aspects of structural activity of the naturally released GnRH. As a part of continuing efforts for further understanding of this relationship, the present investigation was undertaken which involved synthesis and biological evaluation of two GnRH analogues, firstly, by replacement of the amino acid L-Argenine in the 8th position at the backbone structure of the natural hormone by the amino acid D-Alanine; and secondly, by replacement of the amino acid L-Glycine in the 10th position by D-Alanine also at the backbone structure of the nature hormone, to obtain the following analogues respectively:

... Show MoreIn this work, some of new 2-benzylidenehydrazinecarbothioamide derivatives have been prepared by condensation of thiosemicarbazide and different substituted aromatic benzaldehydes in presence of glacial acetic acid to give compounds (1-6), these compounds have characterized by its physical properties and spectroscopic methods. This work also included theoretical study to prove the ability of these compounds as corrosion inhibitors; The program package of Gaussian 09W with its graphical user interface GaussView 5.0 had used for this purpose; the methods of Density Functional Theory (DFT) with basis set of 6-311G (d,p) / hybrid function of B3LYP and semiempirical method of PM3 have been used, the study included theoretical simulation
... Show MoreA new ligand [N-(4-methoxy benzoyl amino)-thioxo methyl ] leucine (MBL) was prepared from the reaction of (4-methoxy benzoyl isothiocyanate with leucine acid in molar ratio (l:l), it was characterized by elemental analysis (C.H.N.S), FT-IR, UV-Vis, 1H and 13C-NMR. The complexes of the bivalent ions (Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, Cd and Hg ) have been prepared and characterized too. The structural was established by elemental analysis (C.H.N.S), FT-IR, UV-Vis spectra, conductivity measurements atomic absorption and magnetic susceptibility and determination of molar ration (M:L). The complexes showed characteristic behavior of tetrahedral geometry around the metal ions except with (Cu) complex showed square planer.
In this study, new derivatives of Schiff bases of 2-thio-5-aryl- 1,3,4-oxadiazole have been synthesized. The structures of these derivatives were characterized from their melting points, infrared spectroscopy and elemental analysis. The Schiff bases derivatives were tested for inhibition of E-coli and were all found to be active.

In this study a new ligand ,(potassium 2-carbomethoxy amino-5-trithiocarbonate 1,3,4-thiadiazole) (L) has been prepared from 2-carbomethoxy amino-5-mercapto 1,3,4-thiadiazole with CS2 in alkali media . The product has been isolated and characterized by appropriate physical measurements, vibrational and electronic spectroscopy. The ligand was used to prepare a number of complexes with some metal ions Co(II), Ni(II) and Cu(II). These complexes have been characterized by FT-IR, UV-Vis spectra, molar conductivity, magnetic susceptibility, melting points and atomic absorption measurements. The nickel and copper complexes have an octahedral geometry while cobalt complex has a tetrahedral geometry. The nature of bonding between the metal ion
... Show MoreIn this paper ,six new mixed metal ligand complexes are reported with Cephalexin (Ceph.H)as a primary ligand and Dimethylglyoxime (DMG) as secondary ligand with metal Chloride [MCl2 .nH2O. M=Mn(II),Co(II),Cu(II),Ni(II) and Zn(II),n=0-6] ,CrCl3.6H2O.The complexes are of (1:1:1)(Metal:Ligand: Ligand) Stoichiometry. The structures of these complexes are confirmed by using FT-IR and UV- electronic spectroscopies, magnetic moments, melting points, molar conductivity measurements and the metal % analysis revealed that the complexes analyze indicates a four coordinated as (A)=[M(HDMG) (Ceph)] .M=[Ni(II)and Zn(II).Six coordinated as (B) = K2[M(DMG)(CePh)(H2O)]. M= Mn (II),Co(II) and Cu(II) and (C)=[Cr(DMG)(Ceph)]Cl2. Interestingly, the in-vitro anti
... Show MoreThe new compounds of pyrazolines were synthesized from the reaction of different acid hydrazide with ethylacetoacetate and ethanol under reflux. These compounds were obtained from many sequence reactions. The 4-acetyl-5-methyl-2,4-dihydro-3H-pyrazol-3-one compounds synthesized from the reaction of 5-methyl-2,4-dihydro-3H-pyrazol-3-one with acetyl chloride in calcium hydroxide and 1,4-dioxane. Finaly, Schiff bases were prepared via condensation reaction of products of mono- and tri ketone derivatives[IV]a, b with phenyl hydrazines as presented in (Scheme 1, 2). The synthesized compounds were identification by using FTIR, NMR and Mass spectroscopy (of some of them).
