Knowledge of the distribution of the rock mechanical properties along the depth of the wells is an important task for many applications related to reservoir geomechanics. Such these applications are wellbore stability analysis, hydraulic fracturing, reservoir compaction and subsidence, sand production, and fault reactivation. A major challenge with determining the rock mechanical properties is that they are not directly measured at the wellbore. They can be only sampled at well location using rock testing. Furthermore, the core analysis provides discrete data measurements for specific depth as well as it is often available only for a few wells in a field of interest. This study presents a methodology to generate synthetic-geomechanical well logs for the production section of the Buzurgan oil field, located in the south of Iraq, using an artificial neural network. An issue with the area of study is that shear wave velocities and pore pressure measurements in some wells are missing or incomplete possibly for cost and time-saving purposes. The unavailability of these data can potentially create inaccuracies in reservoir characterization n and production management. To overcome these challenges, this study presents two developed models for estimating the shear wave velocity and pore pressure using ANN techniques. The input parameters are conventional well logs including compressional wave, bulk density, and gamma-ray. Also, this study presents a construction of 1-D mechanical earth model for the production section of Buzurgan oil field which can be used for optimizing the selected mud weights with less wellbore problems (less nonproductive time. The results showed that artificial neural network is a powerful tool in determining the shear wave velocity and formation pore pressure using conventional well logs. The constructed 1D MEM revealed a high matching between the predicted wellbore instabilities and the actual wellbore failures that were observed by the caliper log. The majority of borehole enlargements can be attributed to the formation shear failures due to an inadequate selection of mud weights while drilling. Hence, this study presents optimum mud weights (1.3 to 1.35 g/cc) that can be used to drill new wells in the Buzurgan oil field with less expected drilling problems.
Background: Gastro oesophageal reflux disease (GERD) is characterized by diverse symptoms. There is an evidence for a genetic component to Gastro oesophageal reflux disease as supported by familial aggregation of this disease. Aim of the study was to investigate whether certain human leucocyte antigen genes HLA-DRB1 are associated with (GERD).Methods: Patients and controls were prospectively recruited from GIT center at Al-Kindy Teaching Hospital (Baghdad-Iraq) between January 2014 and July 2016. Sixty Iraqi Arab Muslim patients with a history of heartburn and dyspepsia were compared with 100 Iraqi Arab Muslims controls. All study patients and control groups underwent upper gastrointestinal endoscopic examinations and their serums were anal

This study investigates the effects of SCM at five dosage levels, 0.25%, 0.50%, 0.75%, 1.00%, and 1.25% by weight of cement, on cement mortar performance across fresh, mechanical, thermal, durability, and density criteria. A comprehensive experimental methodology was employed, including flow table testing, compressive strength (7, 14, and 28 days) and flexural strength measurements, embedded thermal sensors for real-time hydration monitoring, water absorption and chloride ion penetration tests, as well as 28-day density determination. Results revealed clear

Objectives: To assess patients’ knowledge and their adherence to Clopidogrel Therapy Post Percutaneous Coronary Intervention, and to find out the relationship between patients’ knowledge and their adherence to Clopidogrel Therapy Post Percutaneous Coronary Intervention
Methodology: A descriptive design was carried out at Al- Nasiriyah Heart Center in Thi-Qar Governorate for the period between May 19th, 2022 to October 25th, 2022. A non-probability sampling was used among (50) patients after their Percutaneous Coronary Intervention. The study instrument that used to collect data was composed of three parts namely: sociodemographic charac

Samples of wastewater were taken from the Erbil wastewater channel near Dhahibha village in northern Iraq. The microalga Coelastrella sp. was used in three doses (0.2, 1, and 2g. l-1) in this experiment for 21 days, samples were periodically (every 3 days) analyzed for physicochemical parameters such as pH, EC, Phosphate, Nitrate, and BOD5, in addition to, Chlorophyll a concentration. Results showed that the highest dose 2g.l-1 was the most effective dose for removing nutrients, confirmed by significant differences (p≤0.05) between all doses. The highest removal percentage was

The study included (456) male and female supervisors. The questionnaire has been administrated to collected data related to the research aims. The results indicated that both the extent of the availability of administrative empowerment and the implementation of remote supervision is of an average degree. There is a significant correlation relationship (p<0.05) between administrative empowerment and remote supervision of the educational supervisors of the Saudi Ministry of Education. The research recommends that

The study sample consisted of (207) students were randomly chosen, they are integrated in secondary schools in Abha / Saudi Arabia. The correlative, analytical descriptive method was adopted. Two scales were adopted by the researcher: The forgiveness scale prepared by Rye et al (2001) which translated to Arabic by Al-Mahasneh (2017) and the self-awareness scale which prepared by Al-Ghezwani (2017). The study results indicated the following: the forgiveness level among the talented students was high, the self-awareness level among talented students was high, and there is a positive statistically significant relationship

To this end, two scales were adopted to collect needed data: cognitive bias scale designed by (Al-any, 2015), composed of (14) items, and emotional thinking scale designed by (Abdu Allah, 2017), consisted of (27) items. These two scales were administered to (140) students composed the study sample. They were chosen from four different colleges at Al-mustansiriyah University for the academic year (2017-1018).
