This work involves the preparation of high yield iminochalcon compounds (B1-B15)  through two parts. The first part involves the preparation of 2,4-dihydroxy Chalcone (A1-A15) by the condensation of 2,4-dihydroxy acetophenone  with  aryl aldehyde in the presence of sodium hydroxide (40%) as a catalyst. The second part includes the preparation of  iminochalcon from the condensation of p-hydroxy aniline with 2,4-dihydroxy chalcone  derivatives  )A1-A15)  in the presence of some drops of conc. H₂SO₄. Coliform densities T.S and F.C and TS and F.S and total bacterial count as bacteriological pollution indicators, as moste probable number (MPN) method was studied in test. Also some of the chemical characteristics of the water like pH , total suspended solid T.S.S, T.D.D.and S04 , T.Hardness , Ca++ , Mg++ . From the results it were indicated . This study aims to assess the concentrations of some Poly Aromatic
Hydrocarbons in water, in order to monitor effectively and provide possible
recommendations to improve the water quality in the aquatic ecosystem of Tigris
River near Al-Dora refinery. Distribution and concentration of the sixteen polycyclic
aromatic hydrocarbons (PAHs) were studied in surface water. Solid-phase extraction
was used for water samples, and then analyzed by HPLC. Results showed that the
highest and the most dominant (PAH) was ancephthlnene (3-ring PAH), with
concentration of (40.33 ng/l), while the lowest concentration was for Indeno (1, 2, 3-

A geochemical and environmental study was carried out for the sediments of the Southern Neo-Tethys Ocean, represented by the Yamama Formation (Berriasian-Valaganian) in southern Iraq. The formation has a particular reservoir importance. The typical WQ-220 and WQ-280 wells were selected from the West Qurna field. Data of Gamma-ray logs were used for 30 depths of the typical well.
