In this paper, we study, in details the derivation of the variational formulation corresponding to functional with deviating arguments corresponding to movable boundaries. Natural or transversility conditions are also derived, as well as, the Eulers equation. Example has been taken to explain how to apply natural boundary conditions to find extremal of this functional.

In this paper, the behavior of spliced steel girders under static loading is investigated. A group of seven steel I-girders were tested experimentally. Two concentrated loads were applied to each specimen at third points and the load was increased incrementally up to the yield of the specimen. Two types of splices were considered; the bearing type and the friction-grip type splices. For comparison, an analytical study was made for the tested girders in which the finite element analysis program (Abaqus) was used for analysis. In this research, nanofibers have been prepared by using an electrospinning method. Three types of polymer (PVA, VC, PMMA) have been used with different concentration. The applied voltage and the gap length were changed. It was observed that VC is the best polymer than the other types of polymers.

This study examined the effects of water scarcity on rural household economy in El Fashir Rural Council / North Darfur State- western Sudan. Both quantitative and qualitative methods were used as to get a deeper understanding of the impact of water scarcity on the rural house economy in the study area. 174 households out of 2017 were selected from 45 villages which were distributed in eight village councils forming the study area. The antimicrobial activity of two naphthoquinone semicarbazone derivatives (Two newly synthesized compounds) have been studied by using tube — diluation and disc plate technique. The effect of those derivatives upon pathogenic microorganism iso-lated from specimen(urine iwounds,stool, swabs, throat ....etc) have been studied also in comparison with the antibiotics (amikacin,ampicillin, carbencillin, cephalothin, cefoxitin,clindamycin ,erythromycin,gentamycin,penicillin,tetracylin and tri-methoprim. During a survey on the helminthic parasites of three species of turtles in the north part of Iraq, five species of nematodes were recorded for the first time in Iraq. They were all found in the intestine. These are, Camallanus microcephalus (Dujardin, 1845) recorvered from the turtle Clemmys caspica; Spironoura japonensis (Yamaguti, 1935) from Triopyx eup¬hraticus and Angusticaecum holopterum (Rudolphi, 1819), and Tachygonetria nicollei (Seurat, 1918) from the turtle Testudo graeca. All of the localities and hosts are newly recorded in Iraq.

The polymeric hydrogels composed of poly vinyl alcohol (m.wt 72000) and glutaraldehyde(5%,8% and 10%) , have been thermally prepared for the purpose of studying their swelling and drug release behavior . The swelling ratio was measured for all the hydrogel samples at 37°C, in three different media pH (1.2, 4.7 and 6.8) as a function of time. The results show that the maximum swelling ratios were arranged as follows :pH =6.8 > pH =4.7 > pH =1.2 hydrogels cross linked PVA showed a typical pH responsive behavior such as high pH has maximum swelling while low pH shows minimum swelling.
