Abstract The Kenyan policy towards Somalia was influenced by a set of interrelated factors between the two countries and stemmed from the internal environment and most prominent: the geographical factor, ethnic, cultural, religious, political, economic and security, has been dominated by this policy since independence from the British colonial administration in the sixties of the last century and so far the nature of instability and tension, As the two countries are geographically contiguous and as security risks escalate, Kenya in 2011 rushed military action against Somalia, the first military action by Kenya outside its borders since independence.

In this study, gamma-ray spectrometry with an HPGe detector was used to measure the specific activity concentrations of ²²⁶Ra, ²³²Th, and ⁴⁰K in soil samples collected from IT1 oil reservoirs in Kirkuk city, northeast Iraq. The distribution of the intensity of the comet Ison C/2013 is studied by taking its histogram. This distribution reveals four distinct regions that related to the background, tail, coma and nucleus. One dimensional temperature distribution fitting is achieved by using two mathematical equations that related to the coordinate of the center of the comet. The quiver plot of the gradient of the comet shows very clearly that arrows headed towards the maximum intensity of the comet.
