: The terrestrial snail Eobania vermiculata (O. F. Müller, 1774) were collected from three station in Baghdad Al- Karkh, Iraq between the period from June 2016 to July 2017. Then we studied the life cycle from the egg to maturity. We studied and photographed the external morphology of it’s shell to identified the species. This species was recorded for the first time in Baghdad.

Epidemiological characteristics of women with cervical erosion in Al-Sader city, Baghdad, Iraq.

Background: Cervical erosion (CE) is a common finding on routine pelvic examination during the fertile years. Published articles on CE in Iraq are scarce; therefore this study was carried out.
Methods: A total of 100 non pregnant women had CE attending a private clinic in Al-Sader city, Baghdad, was included in this study. Pelvic examination was done; demographic data and gynaecological history were obtained.
Results: The age of women was 27.1 ± 5.9 years with 7.3 ±2.9 educational years. Mucopurlent vaginal discharge was a complaint in 49% of women, and a watery vaginal discharge was a complaint in a similar percent. Thirty four of women were oral contraceptive users and 11% were using intrauterine c

HELMINTH PARASITES OF THE BLACK PARTRIDGE FRANCOLINUS FRANCOLINUS ARABISTANICUS IN BAGHDAD AREA, IRAQ.

This paper deals with a preliminary survey helminth parasites of the black partridge. Francolinus francolinus arabistanicus in Baghdad area, middle of Iraq. It was found that the bird was infected with the cestodes Cotugnia digonopora and Raillietina tetragona with infection rates of 61.9% and 4.8% respectively, and the nematodes Heterakis gallinarum and Paroneoccrca rouss-lotti with infection rates of 4.8% and 19% respectively. Some important measurements, distribution and occurrence according host-sex of each parasite were provided along with some remarks on parasites biology.

Measuring Uranium Concentrations in Soil Samples of Midland Refineries Company - Doura - Baghdad – Iraq

      In this study, the CR-39 detector technique was used, to estimate the uranium concentration from the soil in midland refineries Company (Doura refine (, Baghdad, Iraq. Uranium concentrations in soil samples have been measured using solid state nuclear track detector type CR-39.  Nine soil samples were collected from different areas within the Doura refinery and other soil samples were collected form Abu Tayara Street and ALshortaa District outside the refinery for comparison. The results showed variable values for uranium concentrations. The average value of uranium concentration was found to be 0.37 ppm in doura refinery. It is a cluster of numerous subtypes with diverse biological topographies that cause alterations in response to treatments, relapse rates, and endurance. This task was designed to investigate the epidemiology of the diagnosed cases of ovarian cancer from 2014 to 2020 in Baghdad. A total of 51 cases of different ovarian cancer samples were collected from Al-Elwea Maternity Hospital and Medical City Teaching Hospital, Baghdad. Clinical information including patients' age, tumor size and location, pathological grade and stage were also collected.
