The current study included a detail morphological study of all parts of the species Ipomoea carnea Jacq. (Convolvulaceae) cultivated in different gardens, the roots, stems, leaves, flowers and fruit were studied in detail, also the pollen grains were studied and there are photographs for all the parts were putted.
Palynological characters of eleven cultivated species of the family Fabaceae
grown in Baghdad University campus has been presented in this work. The study
included two kind of single pollen grain. Tri.colporate in Bauhinia variegata L.,
Cassia fistula L., Lablab purpureus(L.)sweet, Vigna mungo(L.)Hepper , and Tri-
Colpate in Cassia acutifolia L., Mimosa pudica L., Vigna sinensis/L. Vicia faba L.
,and polyad in Acasia cyanophylla Lindl, Acasia famesiana(L.)wild, Albizia lebbeck
(L.)Benth.,A study focused on the shape of colpi and endoaperture are variable,
shape of pollen show variation in polar and equatorial view for single species and
for front and side view for polyad one, The study determind size of pollen gra
The present work included new information about pollen of eighteen Spp. of Stachys L. in Iraq ;showed their importance in diagnostsis.
Pollen shapes in equatorial view were ellipsoid in most spp .and spherical - subspherical , spherical - subprolate and subprolate -
ellipsoid in others; while they were spherical - subspherical in polar
view . Pollen was tricolpate except St.iberica M.B.georgica Rech.f. &
Ten. Which has tetracolpate and that was new for the genus.
The smallest pollen were seen in St.kotschyi Boiss. & Hohen. but the biggest were in St.benthamiana Boiss.
The morphological characters of Satureja L. species which is grown in Iraq were studied in detail ,starting from root, stem, leaves ,inflorescences ,flowers and fruits .The current study revelid that the characters of calyx and corolla have great important taxonomically ,besides the variations in the shape and size of leaves and bract ,figures were drawen ,schedules and plates have been prepared. The indumentums study showed that the trichomes have important taxonomically value of both glandular and eglandular hairs.
This study dealt with many of morphological, anatomical characteristics and geographical distribution of Capparis spinosa L. that grown wildly in Iraq, The species were compared to the adoption of field and herbarium specimens. A detailed morphological feature of the stem, leaf, fruit and seed were introduced. Anatomical studies reveal constant taxonomic characteristics such as the obvious cuticle on the epidermis of stems and leaves, developed cortex, pith and vascular tissue in stems. From an environmental perspective has been studied the habitat and the distribution of C. spinosa in Iraq that showed inhabit very dry places and had mesophytic and xerophytic habitat.
The grain hardness, wet and dry gluten contents, protein and ash contents are determined in grains from different cultivars of wheat which are important in food products, either which are present in raw materials or in final products. Wheat is also a very important food raw material, and flour as the final product of milling. The importance of knowing the physical and chemical properties of wheat and flour is due to the determination of quality and kind of flour which is produced after the milling process. In this work, some physical and chemical properties of different wheat cultivars are determined and the comparisons of these characteristics are performed in both wheat and flour. Uruq Wheat sample (W5) has the highest results when compar

And a scaly clawed bract and the the inflorescences were simple, spike-like. The pistil consists of ovary pyramidal, 3 styles, and 3 stigmas. The androecium consists of five stamens that are antisepalous. The perianth was distinct with five sepals and five petals. The fruits were capsule-shaped, pyramidal, and smooth. The seed has an apical pappus of unicellular hygroscopic hairs; endosperm is absent. The anatomical study of the leaves contained a uniseriate epidermis consisting of one layer of elongated cells covered by a layer of papillary cuti

All the species in the genus are of economical and medical importance. This study was conducted to identify the morphologically and anatomically features of the genus in Iraq. The field survey was conducted across the study area where 4 species (Ziziphus jujube, Z. mauritiana, Z. nummularia and Z. spina-christi) were collected and used in the study. The result showed that there is variation in morphological and anatomical features among the species in the stem cross-section and longitudinal section of leaves also the differences appeared in the epidermis of leaves.
This work included external morphological study of horse fly Tabanus autumnalis L. 1761, which belongs to family Tabanidae order: Diptera. The study involved the most important taxonomic external characters of the: head, thorax, abdomen and their appendages which are: antenna, maxillary palp, wings, legs, spotting in coloring pattern of abdomen.
The current works included morphological features study (vegetative and floral parts) for five species of the genus Silene L., S. ampullata, S. chlorifolia, S. colorata, S. conoidea and S. longipetala belong to the family Caryophyllaceae, samples were collected from various areas of northern Iraq. Confirmation in the description was on the most critical parts of the plant, including the shape of the leaves, length, and shape of the calyx tube and venation, the modification shapes of coronal scales petals and appendages, anther ornamentation and structures of pistils. Images enhanced the morphological characteristics under study. Information on the locations and dates of the collection

Chaenorhinum rubrifolium (Robill. & cast. Ex Lam. & DC.) Fourr. The genus belong to the family Scorphulariaceae. Morphological characters has been studies for: root, stem, leaves, flowers (calyx, corolla, androcium including filaments and anthers, gynocium including ovary, style and stigma), fruits and seeds also has been characterized. Key for there two species presented using some quantitative characters. Other characters like shape of fruits and seeds were used too, and they were of a useful taxonomic value
