The Thermal Pre-processing Technique of the Bio-waste for Contaminated Water Treatment: Histological and Experimental Study
...Show More Authors

The current study suggested a thermal treatment as a necessary proactive step in improving the adsorption capacity of bio-waste for contaminants removal in wastewater. This approach was based on the experimental and histological investigation of biowaste pods shell. This investigation showed that these shells compose of parenchyma cells that store secondary metabolites compounds produced from cells were exhibited in present study. The results also reported that these compounds are extracted directly from the cells as soon as they are exposed to an aqueous solution, hampering their use as an adsorbent material. The increase in the weight of bio-waste adsorbent at unit liquid volume increases the production of secondary metabolites compounds under normal conditions. While thermal conditions accelerate the exit of these compounds from their storage places. After suggested thermal processing, the bio-waste was examined for azo dye removal under different operational conditions (adsorbent weight (1,0.1 g), contact time (24 and 48 hr), and temperature (30, 40, 50,and 60°C). In general, the experimental data showed a good improvement in adsorption potential. The results presented clearly that the increase in temperature has a positive effect on the performance of pollutant removal. The maximum adsorption capacity was 0.035833 mol/g at a temperature of 40°C, and 0.036417 mol/g at a temperature of 50°C. This behaviour may be counterproductive with high temperatures as a result of the release of more secondary metabolites compounds. For other operating conditions, increasing the concentration of the pollutant also improves the efficiency of the process, while this efficiency decreases with the increasing weight of the adsorbent material. For example, the removal capacity was (0.000275, 0.00675 mol/g) with 1 and 0.1 g of the adsorbent weight, respectively. Finally, the present study concluded that the adoption of thermal pre-treatment technology for bio-mass waste is a necessary step in improving the adsorption processes.

The Effectiveness of a Cognitive-Behavioral Treatment Program to Reduce Nervous Fatigue for Mothers of Children with Cerebral Palsy
...Show More Authors

Cognitive-behavioral therapy is one of the most important relatively recent; treatment programs that attempt to modify behavior and control psychological disorders by modifying the individual's thinking style and awareness of himself and his environment, and cognitive reconstruction by replacing negative thoughts with positive ones. The current study aimed to know the effectiveness of a cognitive behavioral treatment program in reducing nervous fatigue among mothers of children with cerebral palsy. The sample on which the nervous fatigue scale was applied consisted of (30) mothers whose son suffers from cerebral palsy, and the results indicated that (24) mothers suffer from nervous fatigue. This sample was divided

Anatomical and Histological Features of Placentae of Different Age Groups

Methods: 112 placentae samples were investigated during the period from August 2007 to August 2008 under light microscopefor mother aged 15 - 45 years old. Results: It was found that normal placental shapes had no correlation to mother age, while abnormal shapes were found more inyoung age groups. The better placental measured parameters were found in mother age 20-24 years. The percentages ofabnormal umbilical cord insertion were very high compared to other studies. Babies’ gender had a correlation with theplacental thickness; male babies have thicker placentae than females. Male babies have longer umbilical cords with widerdiameter than females. Light microscope picture showed the chorionic villi with isolated fetal blood vessel were hig

EXPERIMENTAL OBSERVATIONS ON THE BEHAVIOR OF A PILED RAFT FOUNDATION
...Show More Authors

The piled raft is a geotechnical composite construction consisting of three elements: piles, raft and soil.
In the design of piled rafts, the load shared between the piles and the raft, and the piles are used up to a
load level that can be of the same order of magnitude as the bearing capacity of a comparable single
pile or even greater. Therefore, the piled raft foundation allows reduction of settlements in a very
economic way as compared to traditional foundation concepts.
This paper presents experimental study to investigate the behavior of piled raft system in sandy
soil. A small scale “prototype” model was tested in a sand box with load applied to the system through
a compression machine. The settlement was

The plastic structure in the lyrical introduction to pre-Islamic poetry " The hanging Tarfa bin Al-Abd as a model": زينب خليل حسين

The research deals with the lyrical introduction in the commentary of Tarfa bin al-Abd as a formative system characterized by flexibility and richness of imagination, which achieved a formative treatment and a unique construction within the structures of the structural and semantic language. I dealt with the poetic verses represented by the lyrical introduction as a formative hypothesis, basing its goal on a methodological framework distributed on the problem that was summarized by the following question: Is it possible to look at the poetic pattern within the pre-Islamic poem / hanging blinking as a model, in its plastic dimensions and to identify the stylistic treatment that achieves the formation space within the poetic text. The establishment of a high quality service in oral health care achieved by a member of dental professional is an important feature of any system of peer review in dentistry. This protocol attempts to discuss two crucial elements (I) suitability and feasibility of treatment modality and (II) quality of treatment performed to Iraqi patients. The Iraq endodontic society is designing a standardized protocol for endodontic treatment following the quality guidelines of European society of Endodontology (2006) to meet the highest standard of care generally given by competent practitioners. The Iraqi endodontic society has the expertise and professional responsibility clinically relevant to empower the dental profession through creating significan

The Application of Microwave Technology in Demulsification of Water-in-Oil Emulsion for Missan Oil Fields
...Show More Authors

A series of batch demulsification runs were carried out to evaluate the final emulsified water content of emulsion samples after the exposure to microwave. An experimental study was conducted to evaluate the effects of a set of operating variables on the demulsification performance. Several microwave irradiation demulsification runs were carried out at different irradiation powers (700, 800, and 900 watt), using water-in-oil emulsion samples containing different water contents (20-80%, 30-70%, and 50-50%) and salt contents (10000, 20000, and 30000 ppm). It was found that the best separation efficiency was obtained at 900watt, 50% water content and 160 s of irradiation time. Experimental results showed that microwave radiation method can
